Collinsworth's PFF Mock
#11
Could not complain if Kinlaw fell to us, but really have mixed feelings about Higgins. He is a big name but feel like he is a bit of an underachiever. If he isn't a deep threat, is he that much better than Michael Pittman (who probably has a higher floor)?

I wonder how possible it is for Kinlaw to drop into the 20s. None of us seem to think it's very likely, considering he's the best 3T in the draft, but this certainly isn't the only mock that has him falling to us. Maybe some of those concerns Collinsworth refers to are shared by the 3 or 4 teams above us who would consider him. And when a player gets past a team or two that needs him, the whispers begin....

or its just the mock people picking up subterfuge and running with it.  I am sure Rick is telling everybody that will listen that those health and weight issues are a major concern to him.

If we drafted Higgins with Kinlaw on the board, I'd lose it...
Me too.
Ditto.  But Kinlaw at 22 and Higgins at 25 would be awesome!  Then we need to look at both G and CB.  CB is very deep and Guard we can probably get 3rd round and above.  So even though CB is deep I would focus our second rounder on grabbing a CB.  Then an Guard with one of our 3rd round picks.

FWIW, many of my mocks have Herbert falling even at our 25 and both the Saints and Indy want to trade up for him.  I think we get the best deal from Indy (plus another conference) and can get 3 picks (34, 44 and 75)  There are a ton of talent up until around 60 as many of our gurus say.  We can use the 75 and our others to get back into that 55-60 range.
25 for 34, 44, and 75 SOLD. I would even throw in a 4th to get that done.

If Rick got out of this offseason muck and mire with:

1st round pick (earlier than original) (DT)
THREE 2nd round picks (WR, CB, OL)
THREE 3rd round picks (CB, LB, DE)

and potentially Trent Williams. WOW

If the draft class panned out like 2015, the window would be WIDE OPEN for years
