its pretty obvious what the gov needed to do here to make this program actually be about helping small businesses retain employees.  ( I would guess there are some loopholes for somebody in the fine print)  but it makes zero sense for the average main street small business owner that doesnt need skilled labor to agree to take these loans/grants and have to suffer as a result.... they are already losing sales,  and still have to pay all their other over head.

but I am not surprised,  its not often DC gets one right.

Wow, that's socialism.  When you say "pretty obvious what the gov needed to do", perhaps that's because you have a different threshold, and we reached yours.  Who is being saved, business or people.

Social programs to save small businesses and individuals in national emergencies.  This cannot be sustained. 

Socialism has failed in other countries.  

There are programs for individuals - expansion of who qualifies for unemployment, added 600 per week for unemployment to states, 1200 per person stimulus.

SBA programs are for businesses.  Disaster relief (which was tied to businesses with employees only, if available at all), and Payroll Protection Program.  The PPP hurts businesses potentially over other options.

i am surprised that nobody has brought up the loophole in the checks that skips a large part of our young population.  the dependent deduction credit of $500 per ends with 17 year olds,  but anybody that is helping their kids through college usually still claims them as dependents until they are done,  well those kids that are technically adult dependents dont qualify for their own relief check,  but those parents dont get the $500 either.

My son lost out ... and he eats like a pig now.  

Luckily USNA pays him some money while on leave.
