Well I guess the media had it right, it is a pandemic and Americans are dying and getting sick.
if the media had it right and was on top of this from day one,  how come they werent going after the dem leadership when they were down playing the disease and the recommendations from the experts early on?   I think both sides need to stop pointing fingers because if anybody really stepped back and looked at the gaffs in judgement and lack of leadership there are plenty of instances where blame can be assigned for both sides.

I look at these arguments in here and try to do some quick bull shit checks on them and honestly ya'll are often right, and at the same time running around naked pointing out the lack of clothes on the emperor.

I think you all need to look for truth in the others perspective before looking for holes in the oppositions narrative... maybe a little common ground will help everybody handle the truths a little better.

Not sure they weren't , it may just be the stuff you were reading or was catching your attention.    Or better yet you have a bias to someone always being a victim of the media.
that may be true,  but since I try and watch CNN and or read MSN for my news,  I can say with certainty that they were not on top of this and were focused on the failed impeachment and anything else they could try and discredit Trump with.  they certainly werent calling out their own for making stupid claims.    I am not a victim of the media because I dont trust the media and have said as much for years.  We all need to do our own due diligence on matters.

the main stream media in this country is useless,  we could all just as well get our current affairs reports from the kardashians as they are likely to be about as truthful and trustworthy.

There is an inherent bias in the media  and it comes from learning how to research and write.  As with all vocations some are better at it than others.  When I hear the complaints about mainstream media, I wonder if the erosion of "News" sources can be attributed to the suspension of the FCC fairness doctrine and the concentration of media ownership are the real issues and quality is just the symptom.
Just saying in my opinion.
They are most definitely tied to the suspension of the fairness doctrine. Thanks, Ronnie!

But changing the laws on ownership of broadcast and print outlets really screwed the pooch.  The deregulation of the policies that allows for the maximum commercial exploitation of news is what allows the Murdoch's, Bezos's and Bloomberg's inordinate amount of influence.  State media whether it capitalist or communist sucks.
I long for the days of Dave Dedrick,  he was Captain 11 at 3pm,  grab assing the little kiddies moms by 3:30,  and half in the bag in time for the 6 o clock news,  now there was a true media professional!

seriously though maybe I am just not remembering correctly,  but it really seems that the news reporting in this country has gone to total shit since the early to mid 90s and continues to lower the bar for itself with each passing news worthy event.

Yup, that was definitely the other shoe drop that lead to the current state.

No.  The fake narrative pushed to the sheep by the fake news is.

Comment on the ventilators.  Who was right? 14k total needed in the country today at the worst ... yet dems said like Cuomo said he needed 40k just for NYS!

Was Trump right to shut down travel with China in January?  Or should he have listened to the people claiming he was racist?

Why is a Minnesota doctor claiming he was being told to claim al deaths as Covid to get more funding?

Was Trump right in not believing the incorrect models or not?

Should WHO and China be investigated for their actions?

Was Fauci right in 2013 that hydroxychloroquine was useful against coronavirus or not?

Did the media treat Obama like this for his viruses?
can we quite using that description of those that disagree with our positions?

sheep, fruitloops, what ever,  that is just a fire truck loaded with racing fuel trying to put out a fire.
Just now much proof do you need to conclude that he can't?

I knew we could find something to agree on!

6 companies control 90% of the media.

We are all being played.

That just means we have more responsibility to find the facts, not just look for a source to support your viewpoint.  You know the old adage, You use that like a drunk uses a lamppost more for support than illumination.
I'm not being played, just have to work harder.  The internet allows a lot of folk to be intellectually lazy and "played".

Casey Jones and Roundhouse in the Twin cities followed by Mel Jazz matinée Movie, with dialing for dollars, sponsored by Plywood Minnesota, good days to grow up.

1987 is when the fairness doctrine went out, and the ownership rules have been eroded by increments.  A lot of deregulation fails to look at the intent and origin of the of the rule.  That's what always strikes me as cognitive discord, make it great again, but change everything.

Hahaha I wonder what information came out after that.

Seems like a funny thing to use timelines as everything is static. I will look for similar timelines for you.
