Well I guess the media had it right, it is a pandemic and Americans are dying and getting sick.
if the media had it right and was on top of this from day one,  how come they werent going after the dem leadership when they were down playing the disease and the recommendations from the experts early on?   I think both sides need to stop pointing fingers because if anybody really stepped back and looked at the gaffs in judgement and lack of leadership there are plenty of instances where blame can be assigned for both sides.

I look at these arguments in here and try to do some quick bull shit checks on them and honestly ya'll are often right, and at the same time running around naked pointing out the lack of clothes on the emperor.

I think you all need to look for truth in the others perspective before looking for holes in the oppositions narrative... maybe a little common ground will help everybody handle the truths a little better.

Not sure they weren't , it may just be the stuff you were reading or was catching your attention.    Or better yet you have a bias to someone always being a victim of the media.
that may be true,  but since I try and watch CNN and or read MSN for my news,  I can say with certainty that they were not on top of this and were focused on the failed impeachment and anything else they could try and discredit Trump with.  they certainly werent calling out their own for making stupid claims.    I am not a victim of the media because I dont trust the media and have said as much for years.  We all need to do our own due diligence on matters.

the main stream media in this country is useless,  we could all just as well get our current affairs reports from the kardashians as they are likely to be about as truthful and trustworthy.

There is an inherent bias in the media  and it comes from learning how to research and write.  As with all vocations some are better at it than others.  When I hear the complaints about mainstream media, I wonder if the erosion of "News" sources can be attributed to the suspension of the FCC fairness doctrine and the concentration of media ownership are the real issues and quality is just the symptom.
Just saying in my opinion.
well the concentration of ownership in any industry is rarely ever in the best interest of the American people,  no matter what party is supporting it... its always about selling out the American public in the  interest of appeasing a campaign contributor IMO.

as far as the fairness doctrine,  it was an bi-partisan FCC board that voted to repeal that article on the grounds that it was a violation of the first amendment.  It was a unanimous vote 4-0 by a committee of 2 Rs and 2 Ds.   I can see the argument,  but like many laws that were implemented with good intent... this is a country of lawyers led by lawyers and good intent be damned when legal opinions over come common sense.

They are most definitely tied to the suspension of the fairness doctrine. Thanks, Ronnie!

I think it's two vastly different comments. From the clip trump clearly states one thing, A1 states he said something completely different.

like all pols do,  they talk out of both sides of their mouth.. look at the NY ( and other dems ) A1 can find plenty of statements to support his stand and I am sure you can find can find an equal amount of Trump statements to refute it.

I thinks its both funny and sad that we allow ourselves to get so wrapped up by our side and the lies they tell that we get angry ( in some cases violently) trying to defend peoples actions that outside of an election really dont give a shit about those that are fighting for their honor.  So Trump is two faced and gets caught in it... does that make him any different than any other politician of recent past?  Nope.  Would the same amount of attention paid to other big figures bring the same amount of gaffs and mis-speaks?   Yep.

But changing the laws on ownership of broadcast and print outlets really screwed the pooch.  The deregulation of the policies that allows for the maximum commercial exploitation of news is what allows the Murdoch's, Bezos's and Bloomberg's inordinate amount of influence.  State media whether it capitalist or communist sucks.

I knew we could find something to agree on!

6 companies control 90% of the media.

We are all being played.

And all I've asked him to do is provide one example that trump said this will peak by Easter, that's all. Plain and simple.

What I find disappointing is when someone screams fake media in the face of a video, of a tweet, and claim media bias and then fabricates statements that were never said. I don't give a flying fuck what anyone on CNN  or Fox says. I listen to what the man says and draw my own conclusions. What I won't do is make up shit on the fly to fit a narrative.
