I agree...AWJ might be the safest pick in the draft. And you can probably get him in the 2nd round.
Bit of a stretch calling a projected second round pick the safest pick in the draft. I definitely like him, just found this statement odd
Not at all. 50% of the players in the 1st round will be busts. That means half of the 1st rounders most think are "can't miss" players--Burrows, Tua, Lamb, Jeudy, Becton, Wills, Okudah, Young, Simmons, Wills, whoever--will be disappointments at the very least. Happens every year.

Size, speed, intelligence, production, etc--those are important things. But draft history is littered with busts who had all of those things but couldn't play in the NFL. The one characteristic that almost never busts is instincts. AWJ may never be All Pro. He has size limitations, but if I were to bet my next paycheck on the player least likely to disappoint the team who drafts him, it would be AWJ.

That's fine, I just think it's really something to claim the safest player in the draft is potentially a second round pick. Safest player in the draft for me is without a doubt Chase Young.

Maybe. But don't think all 1st rounders are defacto "safe" picks. They're there because of upside and position value.

I agree that not all first rounders are safe picks, some guys are definitely reach picks. Just saying I wouldnt consider a potential second round pick as the safest even though he probably is going to be better than half the first round picks
