To me, Winfield's game is so similar to Mathieu. I've been hoping that the Vikes find a way to draft him, along with a top corner as well. Imagine Zim having this kind of swiss army knife at his disposal.

I agree...AWJ might be the safest pick in the draft. And you can probably get him in the 2nd round.

He can play at the LOS and cover deep. Generates turnovers.  I may be a Gopher Homer, but I'll say it right now...  he'll be the best safety in this draft.

His game is a lot like Harrison Smith.  And Smith didn't go until the end of the first round.  That's probably the earliest AWJ will go, but more likely early Day 2.

I like your thinking. Zim can throw out some 3 safety looks with him, Harry & Harris, or have him play slot CB, or traditional safety, etc., etc.

Bit of a stretch calling a projected second round pick the safest pick in the draft. I definitely like him, just found this statement odd

We have a real disconnect on safeties. A guy who missed the bulk of two years can hardly be considered safe let alone the safest. Imo.

That'd be fantastic to have the Vikes draft him, but would he be worth a 1st round pick?  Not sure he'd be available to the Vikes in the 2nd or later.  So many holes at: OT, OG, DT, DE, CB, and now WR, it's hard to say if getting a safety this year in the first three rounds is realistic.
