A Look At Kubiak's Time In Houston Portends 2020 Offense And Draft
#11
Take a look at the stats from 2018, 2017 and 2016, and tell me who caught more balls 20+ and 40+ yards for the Vikings. I'll give you a hint, his name rhymes with Weeland.

While you're looking at stats, where was this tear the top off the D WR you see in Diggs when two of his four prior years he averaged 10 And 10.8 YPC? And the other two were a Cliff Branch-esque 13 and 13.8.

And FFS, stop saying "so and so" agrees with my opinion when stating yours. You've been around long enough to have your opinion live and die on its own merits.

Geoff knows more than us combined. More than you, me and Maroon combined? I think the three of us could take him. Which actually sounds fun. The 3 of us vs. Guru in a Draft Contest! Winner gets my autographed Corey Chavous photo from when I nipped Wetlander in that contest. But I'll quote whomever I feel like. There are no debate rules in place here.

Now back to our regularly scheduled squabbling...

Last year you saw a true Shanahan/Kubiak inspired Offense for the first time in Diggs' tenure with Minnesota. It's a given that we will see that same Offense this year. Hopefully with a Plan B when the rushing attack is stymied.

I don't give 2 shits what Diggs stats looked like in other Offenses he played in at Minnesota. Just like I won't give 2 shits for what his stats look like in Buffalo. Last year's stats matter because the system will finally stay the same.

And in that system Stefon was the following in passes that travelled over 20 air yards: 1st in catch rate %, 1st in yards per target, tied 1st in TDs and Cousins was 5th in QBR.

Who's replacing all that 20 yards down the field stuff? Irv? Nope. Not sure even Kelce could do that. Bisi? Nope. Adam? He can, but much like Michael Thomas that's not his forte.

The thing with run-first teams that use a lot of Play Action is that they like to take shots. San Francisco, Tennessee, and yes, Minnesota. Thielen will absolutely carry some of that load. Who else will help with the rest?

You're more up to speed on the mid-round WRs than I am, so this would be a good time to suggest some guys with wheels.
