Hahaha You have no freaking clue what Trump is doing.  Ignoring the truth.  And misunderstanding the roles of everyone.

Thank God he stopped the travel from China in January and didn’t worry about the racism and xenophobic cries from the left.
CA brings up a good point,  somebody should be coordinating delivery of goods to where it is needed ( of course every governor thinks their situation is worse than anybody elses and will make noise to the heavens so their voter base knows that they are fighting for them)  and making sure that it doesnt turn into a money grab at the expense of the health of Americans.  (of course why arent we as concerned when its a drug cost in a time of non emergency and is just scewing over some old person?)

This is exactly the role that IMO the fed should be playing in all this,  they dont have to be the boots on the ground as some people want them to be,  but they need to be the ones that remove the roadblocks that local efforts are encountering.

The Trump task force talk to the governors EVERY DAY coordinating this shit. To say he isn’t working on this is patently partisan bullshit.

The major states right now are NY, California, Michigan, Washington ... and they are targeting supplies to them first ...  this is just criticism for the sake of criticism.  Listening to dems bitching because they are politicizing it.

Cuomo said today the national plan being developed is send the shit to NY and other hot spots now - they will send them to the other places after as needed.

A pandering for instance - Nevada congresswoman Susie Lee tweeted earlier today about transgenders:

“Especially during a public health crisis, it’s up to all of us to create a society where no person is discriminated against, denied health care, or treated less than because of who they are.”

SHUT THE FUCK UP WITH THIS POLITICAL PANDERING.  NOBODY IS NOT TREATING SOMEONE BECAUSE OF THEIR SEXUALITY ETC.

The pandering is absurd.

I referred to the “evidence”of his irredeemable, immoral behavior.  And I cited it.  Go ahead deny or excuse it.  And I sincerely doubt you wish you could say you “expected more.”It passive aggressive comments like that that make you sound so holier than thou. And laughable.  I KNOW what to expect from you.  And you never disappoint.
Btw I too am at high risk, as is my wife and daughter. But I didn’t hold that up as some mark of virtue as you did.

wanna review the "aggressive" part of the comments.  you stepped over the line.  And then you apologize to Jimmy for your "rant".

Well done, and now you deflect.  I didn't call you names, that is yours and yours alone.  I wasn't being passive, I was simply stating the truth.  Your repeated name calling and hysteria are well documented.  But as I said, I will keep you in mind during our prayers.  And I mean that honestly.  I don't wish this illness on anyone no matter how I feel about them personally.  I genuinely want people to be happy, but that doesn't mean I can't call bullshit when I see it.

I think the Feds should help coordinate, but not with mandate.  Like the Ohio (?) governor that asked Trump to intercede with the FDA basically blocking the disinfecting of masks for reuse.  I see the FDA relented today and allowed them to move full speed on this innovative measure.

In a related story, McConnell claims his homework assignment was completed, but his dog ate it.

Here is another company working with Trump administration:

Atlas Air is proud to have supported @fema in delivering 130,000 N95 respirators, 1.8 million face masks and gowns, 10.3 million gloves, and over 70,000 thermometers. Thank you to our crews and ground staff for making this happen. #MissionCritical #Inittogether #AtlasStrong

It is too easy to ignore the truth when we can make political points.

the phone calls are great,  i've listened in on them and agree that is something I have never seen from a  sitting president.   but if there are issues of shortages and getting supplies to the health care workers that need them ( and they are needed all across the country)  then I have an issue with what is being done and think more could be done.  there should have been presidential mandates enacted much sooner getting more facilities on line to produce the products that we knew months ago that we would/could be in short supply of when this hit... yes he would have been mocked for over reach or other things,   but I wouldnt go to bed every night wondering if my daughter and son in law, who work at the hospital here in SD that dealt with the first case and in the community that was the first in the midwest to show community spread,  will have what they need.  The richest country in the world with everything we have had going for us economically shouldnt be facing critical shortages of basic shit like PPE.

There was an article recently on prior administrations decisions that caused this.

Simple - get rid of the global initiative bullshit. Bring back the manufacturing of drugs and supplies back to the US.  Again - Trump was right about this shit. We should manufacture our essentials here.

Bring it back.

"The U.S. is uncharacteristically overreliant on drugs from China, and it's not a sustainable model," Das Nobel, founder and CEO of the New York-based product-and-supply service MTX Group. "The U.S. government must prioritize its strategic planning to incentive the U.S. Manufacturing organization and assist in bridging the gap in manufacturing cost versus gross profit."
But just how doable, and cost-effective is such an endeavor?
Dan Field, chief medical officer for MDstaffers and an emergency physician, pointed out that the biggest advantage of such a move is obviously avoiding shortages and critical dependency on China, but overcoming the drastic spike in costs will require some careful planning.
"Historically, the production of medicines for the U.S. population has been domestically based.  However, in recent decades, drug manufacturing has gradually moved out of the United States.  This is particularly true for manufacturers of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), the actual drugs that are then formulated into tablets, capsules, injections, etc." Field continued. "As of August 2019, only 28 percent of the manufacturing facilities making APIs to supply the U.S. market were in our country.  By contrast, the remaining 72 percent of the API manufacturers supplying the U.S. market were overseas, and 13 percent are in China."
