U.S. Bank Stadium to get paneling replaced.

All of the outside panels will be replaced at a cost of $21 million which Mortenson and 7 other parties will have to pay (not taxpayers). Its not completely surprising as the innovative snow removal system (melting) was so new. The story mentions wind damage to the facade also which the new system will take care of moving forward.

Is it the roof or the exterior walls or both???  Paneling?  Like in a rec room? Wink

I guess a billion dollars just doesn't buy what it use to!  Smile  You would think you would at least get a leak proof building for that!

Will it help with the dead birds issue?  That was kinda...morbid.

Holy shit, $21 million, that’s a lot to eat by those contractors! The metrodome was like 30 million total, ouch...  Confused

Say what you want about the old bouncy house. Between the Vikings, Twins and Gophers it made good some money for a pop up.

Huge blunder by Mortenson and others...

They are and should be embarrassed. This is a big F-up and their reputation has been tarnished as a result.

$68 mm, $125mm including infrastructure.

Still peanuts in todays $$'s

I remember the first year it became operational. They were so cheap, they didn't even put air conditioning in it. The rationale was it was under street level and therefore would stay cool.

They were wrong...Cheap and wrong.

Hated that dump.

The Metrodome was antiquated the day it opened. What stadium gets built UNDER budget?? It was a dump.
