I've got to think the chances of converting a 4th and 15 is better than the odds of recovering an on-sides kick...

If you're down with minutes to go, it is really no option since they changed the onside kick rule which almost no one recovers. It's certainly something to consider.

I would hate this new rule. honestly though, i think the 25 isnt right, maybe the 35 or 40 would net a similar result as recovering an onside vs not recovering it. Also I noticed they blew the interception dead at the probowl, is that part of the rule or was that a refs not wanting anybody to get hurt thing? I thought it was pretty stupid to intercept a hail mary on a 4th down but if the defense is dumb enough to do it...

How many 4th and longs have we given up on Defense in our franchise history? turns my stomach to think about it.
