Washington State redshirt senior QB Anthony Gordon accepted his invitation to play in the 2020 Reese's Senior Bowl.Gordon (6'3"/210) is the latest Mike Leach QB to light up FBS scoreboards, throwing for 5,228 yards, 72% completion percentage and 45 touchdowns this year in the Wazzou air-raid offense. He also became one of only 16 FBS QB's in college football history to throw for 5,000 yards in a single-season. Gordon's virtuoso performance significantly raised his NFL Draft profile much like his predecessor Gardner Minshew did last year. He was drafted by the New York Mets in the 36th round of the 2015 draft, so he's got a multi-sport pedigree and bona fide arm. He is being mentioned in the third-to-fifth round range and will be closely monitored in the post-season evaluation process.

  • Bleacher Report's Matt Miller tagged Washington State redshirt senior QB Anthony Gordon as the biggest quarterback sleeper in the prospective 2020 class.Gordon (6'3/210) just slots onto Miller's latest rankings release as the No. 9 quarterback prospect for the spring. But with a strong process, we could see some upward movement, here. The WSU gunslinger is coming off a 2019 regular season in which he threw for 5,228 yards (71.9% completions) with a 45/16 TD/INT ratio. The interceptions aren't particularly palatable, but the rest of the numbers, here, are aces. Gordon will be heading to the Reese's Senior Bowl in January as he looks to improve his stock. In a seven-round mock put out by CBS Sports' Ryan Wilson earlier this month, Gordon was swept off the board by the Eagles in the sixth round.

That's your guy you mentioned a bit ago. Totally fits with what the team SHOULD be doing behind Cousins. Take this kid and let him sit for 2 years pressure free. Let him fill out his frame a little bit, gain some confidence. Play in some preseason games. He seems to fit the possible mold of a kid that can grow and has NFL upside.

ANTHONY GORDONQB, WASHINGTON STATE COUGARSWashington State redshirt senior QB Anthony Gordon completed 28-of-42 passes for 351 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in Friday's 31-21 loss against Air Force in the Cheez-It Bowl.Gordon (6'3/210) was slinging it around, especially in the second half, but the Cougars offense didn't seem to be hitting on all cylinders. He had a nice rapport with WR Brandon Arconado, hooking up 11 times for 167 yards and a score, but everyone else had a rather dismal performance against the dominant Falcons. Gordon posted huge numbers, following in the footsteps of Gardner Minshew II, and Luke Falk before him. Those two had some success in the NFL in 2019, and there is no reason to believe Gordon can't be a Day 3 pick or an undrafted free-agent, getting a shot in someone's camp in 2020.

Early report says bona fide arm.

Now the broadcaster team questions his arm.

Which is it?
