At what point would you take a chance on Jalen Hurts?

Intriguing and scary as hell all in one...

I have no idea how his skill set will project to Sunday play???

This is the type of guy the Vikings should be looking at: he's raw, can sit behind Cousins but could have some scary good upside. No earlier than Round 4 or 5, however. He's got lots to work on, but love what could be. But not worth a high pick.

The way he couldn't keep his eyes off the pass rush of LSU was really disappointing. And he sails a lot of passes. But he's smart. Soft spoken but an unquestioned leader. High character. Phenomenal athletic traits.

If the Vikings went O-Line, 3T, CB and Hurts with their first four picks I'd be a happy man.

I cannot see him falling past the 2nd round, he has too many skills and intangibles

If the TDN simulator is worth a damn, he doesn't leave the second.

If we wanted to build around his skill set, you would want something very similar to the Ravens O...

Some team desperately looking for the next Mahomes-Watson-Jackson won't be able to resist taking him by the second round.  Which is unfortunate as he could use a couple of years of seasoning.

As far as rookies go, I don't think I'd describe a 4-year college starter on elite teams every year as "raw". I do agree he could sit behind Cousins for a year and definitely benefit though.
I'd rather the Vikings look at Herbert earlier, but I wouldn't be upset if they took Hurts at the end of the 2nd. I don't think he'll be there at the end of the 3rd, unless he tanks the combine.

He couldn't come off his first read the entire LSU game. It was quick look, guy's not wide spanking open, drop eyes to pass rush, take off and run. It was the same problem at Alabama. He doesn't go through his progressions well and bails out to run when teams get a good pass rush on him early in the game.

I definitely want them to draft a QB, hopefully they get better advice on who to pick.
