A useful tweet from everyone's favorite...another sign of the apocalypse

The #Vikings will pick No. 25 in the draft for the seventh time. They took guard John Ward in 1970, tackle Steve Riley in 1974, DE Mark Mullaney in 1975, DT James White in 1976, DT Chris Hovan in 2000 and CB Xavier Rhodes in 2013

Lots of different ways this team could go. Just off the top of my head:

Offensive Line-  Too inconsistent yet again despite changes. We can go a lot of directions here and could need up to two new starters. Elflein was clearly the weak link and probably more of a swing backup at guard and center. Do we flip O'Neil to LT if Reiff is a cap casualty? Lot's of moving parts but we clearly need to continue to look to upgrade the offensive line, especially after the showing against the 49ers.

Defensive Tackle- Not having a true 3 technique that could disrupt hurt our overall defense. Shamar Stephen is more of a run stopper and only had 1 sack on the year. Linval is still stout against the run but will be 32 next year. We need a disrupter in the middle that opposing lines need to account for.

Quarterback- Cousins has one more year on his deal and not sure what the plan is beyond that. We have nobody in the pipeline that has the talent to develop into a starter. This would be the ideal season to draft our quarterback of the future and have him sit behind Cousins for a season.

Cornerback- Crazy to believe considering the investment we have made in the position since Zimmer has been here. Xavier Rhodes is not the same player and its probably time to move on from him. He will be 30 next June and not worth what he is getting paid.  Trae Waynes and Mackenzie Alexander are both unrestricted free agents. So the reality is our starting nickel package could all be playing elsewhere next season.

See the article at the bottom where someone is comparing him to Bryant McKinnie... not sure that's a good thing lol.

I think as long as we keep him in dry land we'll be ok.

As long as he has McKinnie's physical tools and not his brain, he should be an All Pro.

Hopefully, Mrs. Spielman intercedes on our  behalf again.
