ESPN's Dan Graziano stated this morning on "Get Up" that if the Vikings lose to the Saints on Sunday, the Cowboys could inquire on the possibility of trading for Mike Zimmer to be their next head coach. He cited that Jones is a huge fan of Zimmer who still has strong ties to the organization, and his defensive philosophy fits perfectly with the Cowboys personnel.
So the question is, if we lose Sunday and Dallas comes calling with an offer of their first round pick (17th) and a future second or third round pick for Zimmer....do you make that move if you are the organization?
I might do it with the thought of having Kubiak already on staff and giving him the head coaching position. Also having two 1st round picks puts us in the market to maybe get our QB of the future with Cousins only under contract for one more season. Does Tua slide down to 17, or maybe we go Fromm? I think it would give us some options moving forward.
Thoughts?
