Early Game on Saturday
#1
So the Vikings play a Sunday game on the road then play a Saturday Early game on the West Coast?

Not only do the Vikings lose a day of rest and prep and play a team coming off a bye, but the game is scheduled first when West coast games are almost always the late game of the day.

Stuff like this makes you wonder if the NFL wants the 49ers to win.  It will be interesting to see how the refs call the game.

The Wild Card schedule was odd to begin with...  both AFC teams on Saturday and the NFC teams on Sunday?  In years past, they've always split an AFC and NFC game each day.  If anything, they should have kept the Divisional round the same with the AFC playing Saturday and the NFC on Sunday.  That way you're not short changing a team by making them play on 6 days rest.

Win a few more games in the regular season that we should have won.

We would have had a bye and played at home.

I took it as the #1 seeds faced the team on short rest.
Playoffs are all about TV and the matchups.  Seattle in Philly was the late game last week.

Bottom line: its really, really hard to win 3 games and get to the Superbowl as a wildcard. Its the toughest road by far. It is what it is, its why its rough to lose winnable games during the season. It comes back to bite you.

The number one seed deserves to have the Saturday game, they have already been off so the short week doesn't effect them and it gives them an extra day to prepare if they win.  I think we got the best slot of the 4, we play much better during the day, the weather is going to be a non-factor and after we win it is going to be great to have the extra day to prepare.
