Looks like the Vikes have another "real" test on Sunday. The first two against GB and ChiTown didn't turn out so well, but this Viking team has improved. Pretty sure the offense will need to be scoring TDs instead of FGs, as I don't think 19 points in KC will be enough.
If the Vikes are going to be contenders, it's going to be up to the D, so they have to get better. Not sure if it's coaching or aging players, or both, but this D just isn't clicking like we've seen it in past seasons, especially defending the pass. KC will throw, and throw often even without Mahomes.
I'm thinking it's going to be a bit of a shootout but the Vikes come out on top - SKOL! Vikes: 31KC BBQ: 24
BTW, those Crowne Prime cut beef ribs at Jack Stack's are insanely delicious, tender and huge. A single order gives you three, and I could only get through one.
27-23 Chiefs.....This team needs to prove that they can beat a quality team on the road.
Heard an expert on the radio this morning say the Vikings will "throttle" the Chiefs. Not sure about that, but I do like the matchup.
What I don't like:
Andy Reid. Mahomes or no, he will find a way to move the ball on our defense.
Tyreek Hill. This is the kind of receiver we struggle to stop. If he sees a lot of Rhodes he could have a big day.
Arrowhead. Although they've lost their last three home games, Arrowhead is typically a very loud and difficult place to play.
What I like:
Chiefs are the 3rd worst run defense in the NFL. And they're without Frank Clark and Alex Okafor, both starting DEs. I think Cook and Mattison combine for over 200.
I think starting left tackle Eric Fisher is out for this one, too, meaning Everson Griffen should get his
No throttling here, but Vikes win easy: 34-24
new coaching starts to matter and shows during the games.
10days off, helps.
Vikes win.
Sitting in Olathe Kansas after a 6 hour drive. My last 2 road trips have been major disappointments, both Chicago.
Vikings atone for letting me down and whoop the chiefs 35-24
Bad feeling about this one, Chiefs 27 - 24
Chiefs have lost their last 3 home games...Even without Mahomes, I dont see it going to 4 (much as I'd like it to)
Vikings cover the spread, but lose in a close one:
33 Chiefs
31 Vikings

Kansas City has a bunch of great restaurants, especially in the 'Burbs around Leawood, not just great BBQ. Jack Stack is good, but my favorite is LC's and Oklahoma Joe's. And you need to try the mustard BBQ sauce at Brobeck's in Leawood, its unreal.
