Good News on the weather during KC game!
#1
was curious as to what kind of weather the game would have, especially since I saw that its been very very cold, snowy Halloween in KC. Turns out it will be a perfect day for fall football - Kickoff should be sunny at 53° / 2n half sunny 57°

I know it can get damn cold and windy there - I think we got lucky with some good weather!

It can get windy and colder more towards January/February in KC, but still not nearly as bad as Minnesota. For early November, that is right on for normal there (lived there for 17 years).

Yeah, my sister said they had a couple dozen kids venture out in the snow last night Trick or Treating.  But Sunday should be fine.

the coldest it ever got in Kansas when I was a kid was when there would be a cold front coming down (20 degrees or so) and a south east wind bringing up that gulf humidity... holy shit there are no clothes in the world made to keep that out.   We get that up here in SD for a day here or there about once a winter and even though the thermometer says its nice ( relatively speaking) outside,  a person has no desire to be out in it.  I have told Pops numerous times that I will take -10 over +25 and humid with even a mild wind any day.

The winter wind in KC is COLD. Very low wind chills. And we always get a doozy of an ice storm or two every winter. FSUVike still lives there.

my 80 year old FIL has always said the coldest it gets is the leading edge (still cold temps here)  of a south wind (full of humidity)  we will be below zero and the first 12 hours or so of a warm front pushing up from the gulf always feel like the temp dropped to -60... ugh.  makes a nice dry, calm -20 seem balmy.
