Interesting moment in postgame presser
#1
Coach Zimmer said that Harrison Smith came up to him between plays and was telling him what plays to call. Zim offered to give him his headset.

He should have took it.  Maybe Zim could use a fresh perspective on his D once in a while.  Watching somebody else drive your car makes you look at your car differently.

I think the secondary is getting impatient with Zimmer. He needs to start creating more pressure via the blitz, because that D-line can go long spells without creating any. Get it figured out and let your dogs eat, Mike.

I mean it happened yesterday.  We had pressure.  But fter watching the Bills D last night they looked like a Zimmer D of yesteryear.  They got reasonable pressure from their DL but sent blitzes and they just looked and played fast.  We don't look fast on D this year.  We look old.  Its time for new blood in the D.

Hmmm...not sure how to interpret this. Was Zim saying this in a dickish way? Still think this defense could maybe benefit from the same sort of change the Falcons made.

That it is...

A disruptive 3t could have the most impact, they need a 1 gapper slobber-knocker too.

Thank god they drafted Hughes...Oh and I was po'd too at the time.

I heard Zim say that on the radio too, MB.  He was kind of chuckling about it, and was very complimentary of Harry's knowledge of the game and appreciated hearing his ideas/input.  Zim thinks the world of HS, and said he'd probably do very well coaching after his playing days are over.

Rivers disagrees.

Barr through the a gap on a delay.  Hunter knocking the RT on his ass and causing a fumble, Kendricks tackling eckler causing another fumble....
