You know what's really funny?

I love the fact that those who use the word "sheep/steeple" are the same people the FDA has to tell you're not a horse and not a cow ..... and to maybe use a little fucking common sense.

No bleach
No hydroxychloroquine
No ivermectin

Get the vaccine, stop listening to stupid people

ABBOTT AND COSTELLO’S ‘WHO’S BEEN VACCINATED?’
Bud: ‘You can’t come in here!’
Lou: ‘Why not?’
Bud: ‘Well because you’re unvaccinated.’
Lou: ‘But I’m not sick.’
Bud: ‘It doesn’t matter.’
Lou: ‘Well, why does that guy get to go in?’
Bud: ‘Because he’s vaccinated.’
Lou: ‘But he’s sick!’
Bud: ‘It’s alright. Everyone in here is vaccinated.’
Lou: ‘Wait a minute. Are you saying everyone in there is vaccinated?’
Bud: ‘Yes.’
Lou: ‘So then why can’t I go in there if everyone is vaccinated?’
Bud: ‘Because you’ll make them sick.’
Lou: ‘How will I make them sick if I’m NOT sick and they’re vaccinated.’
Bud: ‘Because you’re unvaccinated.’
Lou: ‘But they’re vaccinated.’
Bud: ‘But they can still get sick.’
Lou: ‘So what the heck does the vaccine do?’
Bud: ‘It vaccinates.’
Lou: ‘So vaccinated people can’t spread covid?’
Bud: ‘Oh no. They can spread covid just as easily as an unvaccinated person.’
Lou: ‘I don’t even know what I’m saying anymore. Look. I’m not sick.
Bud: ‘Ok.’
Lou: ‘And the guy you let in IS sick.’
Bud: ‘That’s right.’
Lou: ‘And everybody in there can still get sick even though they’re vaccinated.’
Bud: ‘Certainly.’
Lou: ‘So why can’t I go in again?’
Bud: ‘Because you’re unvaccinated.’
Lou: ‘I’m not asking who’s vaccinated or not!’
Bud: ‘I’m just telling you how it is.’
Lou: ‘Nevermind. I’ll just put on my mask.’
Bud: ‘That’s fine.’
Lou: ‘Now I can go in?’
Bud: ‘Absolutely not?’
Lou: ‘But I have a mask!’
Bud: ‘Doesn’t matter.’
Lou: ‘I was able to come in here yesterday with a mask.’
Bud: ‘I know.’
Lou: So why can’t I come in here today with a mask? ….If you say ‘because I’m unvaccinated’ again, I’ll break your arm.’
Bud: ‘Take it easy buddy.’
Lou: ‘So the mask is no good anymore.’
Bud: ‘No, it’s still good.’
Lou: ‘But I can’t come in?’
Bud: ‘Correct.’
Lou: ‘Why not?’
Bud: ‘Because you’re unvaccinated.’
Lou: ‘But the mask prevents the germs from getting out.’
Bud: ‘Yes, but people can still catch your germs.’
Lou: ‘But they’re all vaccinated.’
Bud: ‘Yes, but they can still get sick.’
Lou: ‘But I’m not sick!!’
Bud: ‘You can still get them sick.’
Lou: ‘So then masks don’t work!’
Bud: ‘Masks work quite well.’
Lou: ‘So how in the heck can I get vaccinated people sick if I’m not sick and masks work?’
Bud: ‘Third base.’
I know this is meant to be funny, and I think it is. I also know that the vaccs/unvaccs topic instantly causes people to quit listening to each other and have a reasonable discussion. Also, I'm vaccinated. BUT there are some major questions presented in this rendition that the vacs crew refuses to reasonably answer.
thats why i posted it,  one side cant see the lunacy of their claims,  and only points out the lunacy of the claims of the other side... you decide which side I am referring to.  ( you will be correct either way.)
I get that there are fringes on both pro vax and con vax, but can you really find evidence of lunacy on the pro vax side?   I really dont see the equivalency here.
i have talked to plenty on both sides of this issue,  trust me,  there are those that are failing to exhibit common sense when it comes to both sides of this issue.
i dont mistrust your word or experience, its your judgement in this issue. “Both sides “ is a false equivalency. its not that there are no Kooks on the pro side, its the weight of evidence and acceptance of far fetched theories by the anti’s that makes them reckless and dangerous.
Radicals on either side of an issue create distrust by those of a differing view point and the brow beatings that follow only further the speciation and harden the resolve.   I dont see the hard-core view points to be productive  for about anything.
I love those always claiming facts fail to address the ones that don’t back their sheeple views.

To what end though?  Who benifits by making research up?  Why do it so sloppy?  Why try to stop people from taking a vaccine that has actual data that has actual results?  It just doesnt make any sense.
The end game is to keep people divided. United we stand, divided we fall. Works every time in politics. Spread the fear and distrust for the gullible.
If you're the Republicans why go with the side that is killing your voters at a higher rate then your competitors?  Dead voters votes only count in Chicago.

I, more times then not land on the right of center side politically.  Sometimes extremely right of center though I identify as a libertarian so my views can be a little over the map but MATH doesn't lie.  Its not hard to figure this stuff out.  The state of MN does an excellent job providing you with numbers.  Look at them and come to your own conclusions.

Our local doctors are nearly in tears and pleading with us to please get vaccinated.  TN is only at 40%.  We know these people.  They're at the chamber events.  They're at the community events. Their kids either went to our schools if they're older or they're going now.  Our county is 80/20 Red/Blue.  The doctors/nurses are not leftist/socialist or whatever term is fun today.  Our local hospital is full.  Nashville is full.  Our best area hospital, Vanderbilt is full.  Jackson has tents outside.  There is no where to transfer people.  We literally have people who cannot go to a hospital for normal things.  TN isn't even one of the worst states.  FL, TX, AL, AR are all worse and I suspect as the weather gets colder you'll see covid move north.

One gal in our office took her sister to the local ER 2 weeks ago because she had sever abdominal pain.  They sat all night waiting to get out of the check-in cue and eventually just went home.

This is beyond politics at this point.  Please get vaccinated.  This is not fake.  This is reality.

if it were only that simple.  I have found no evidence yet that the current vaccines prevent variants from forming.  just because a vaccinated person doesnt get as sick,  or stay sick as long,  doesnt mean they cant create a mutation in their system,  honestly as time goes on,  I have a feeling that we could actually see worse mutations come from vaccinated people since they will be more likely to live through the strains the vaccines were designed for,  but wont be as affected and will be more likely to spread the variants, and any new variant that might evolve from their systems response to covid.

kind of like any other drug resistant anything, they are typically born out of over exposure to the same treatments,  we see it in about everything that we treat with drugs over extended periods of time.  our current vaccines dont wipe out the virus,  so they are creating an atmosphere where the virus can mutate IMO.

I go along with the line of thinking that covid is the new flu, and we will spend the rest of our lives playing whack a mole with it as the drug companies try and guess what the next variant will be.. some years they will get the booster right,  and other years we will see spiked death rates from it.

I was talking to a pastor this morning and was careful in the way I'm going to compare this but its almost like abortion.  If you're prolife you literally think you're genocide'ing babies.  If you're prochoice you literally think the glob of cells is like any other glob of cells and the mother can do whatever she pleases.  There's all but no gray area in between the two.

We've all drawn our typical battle lines and have dug in deep because thats what we've been taught to do.  All I'm asking you is to turn off your youtube for a few minutes.  Humor me with 10 minutes and a calculator.  Go to the MN department of health.  Run the numbers yourself.
They have positive cases, they have suspected cases, they have vaccinated cases and outcomes for all of them.  We're to the point where we have enough data to draw conclusions.  Don't let your state become our state especially considering we're what 4 months from respiratory season?

The argument saying the vaccine isn't safe, because nobody knows the long term safety, is stupid. It's not even a salient point right now.
I am a Vietnam veteran and always question the government. But there is no denying the effect covid has had on the US. Even if you think covid death numbers are inflated, due to whatever unsubstantiated theory you wish to believe in, the numbers of people who died of covid are staggering compared to those who died of influenza.
Those that die of influenza in a bad year is 20 to 30 thousand. For covid it has been around a half of a million. It is magnitudes worse.

The short term effects of the vaccine are known thanks to brave people who volunteered to take the vaccine in studies. The short term affects have shown a very effective vaccine. Much more effective than the influenza vaccine actually.
Yes there have been a handful of people who have died from the vaccine and some who have suffered long term side effects. And that is terrible. But the vast majority of those vaccinated have been afforded protection from infection in most cases and protection from severe disease in breakthrough infections.

It is true, the government mismanaged this pandemic. But it also did rapidly bring us the solution; vaccines.

It's time to put politics and conspiracy theory aside and face reality.

Which long term side affect would you rather deal with? The ongoing pandemic? Or the minority of side effects from the vaccine. You can't have both!
Fair enough, putting all the other stuff aside, I want to ask why you think the vaccine is very effective?  You can still get the disease.  It is possibly driving the variants.  And now they are talking boosters every 6 months or so.  Natural immunity seems much more robust with less side effects.  So if you have natural immunity, why get the shot that is minimally effective.

i dont have a battle line dug,  i side with personal choice but am not denying most of what the pro side of the coin is trying to sell.  I said 18 months ago that this was fucked with the way it started out,  when it was politicized before it was even really recognized for what it was I knew this whole thing was fucked.  personally if many of the pro assholes would quit trying to demean or belittle those that arent vaxed.. that needle would move a lot faster, but they dont.  they will not miss a chance to make their political statements and take their shots at their adversaries.. so you get what you get every time something happens in this country, division that goes beyond rationale and that stubborn independence that comes from being an American rages on.

I pray for those that have gotten the shot,  as well as those that havent, mostly I pray for our country because the last thing we need right now is another thing tearing us into smaller pieces.
