Yeah, color me skeptical on this. Have this nagging feeling some who aren't full vaccinated, believe the pandemic is a hoax, or are generally mouth breathers in the first place aren't going to be 100% safe to be around.
or your vaccine isnt effective against the newest strain of the virus... which they have admitted that it will likely become ineffective as new strains come to be.

and if mouth breathers are the biggest threat... why do they have to stick the swab so far up your nose?   couldnt they just do a spit sample? B)
Boosters are already in development...I'm already figuring to get one this summer or fall.

Gotta stop the spread so the variants dont have a chance to develop in the first place.

Getting 12-15 year olds vaccinated will help the cause overall - and I'm sure improve teachers peace of mind.

We're going to get our 12 year old vaccinated but I highly doubt many will.  There is to much "the disease has a 99% survival rate" people out there.

I dont hold the same optimism... this thing just got let out of its cage a little over 18 months ago and we are already on the what 4th or 5th known strain or more?  I dont see us ever getting ahead enough to really stop it... its here to stay and the only way to avoid it is to get an annual updated shot that will cover the known variants but still leave you susceptible to any new strain.... so ???  stay tuned I guess.

I actually agree to some extent, jimmy. The problem is viruses can get global in the blink of an eye today, unlike many years ago. And now we have people in our own country that won't get vaccinated or get their kids vaccinated....and that isn't going to change. So variants are going to plague us regardless of boosters. If 75 percent of people got vaccinated, we wouldn't have an issue. But that isn't going to happen today with the lies on social media and general paranoia.

I think even LESS of a percentage of people will get boosters than have gotten the original vaccines. And so on and so on moving forward. You are just going to have to take your chances at some point.

Based on the information we have today I am getting my shots in early fall,  hopefully they will have evolved the shot to cover and new variants by then and we will know more about how long the antibodies last in our systems,  I want a fresh and effective shot going into the indoor months when IMO we are at our most susceptible to bugs.

CNN has confirmed that 100% of congressional Democrats are vaccinated, across both chambers. Republicans, however? At least 92% in the Senate. But only at least 44.8% of House Republicans confirmed that they are.

I heard one sage predict this;

With this new mask mandate, there are going to be two groups of people in the US:

1). Those safe and vaccinated
2). Those unvaccinated and infecting each other without masks

If you're an icu dr or nurse? No time to rejoice yet

This is going to sound harsh....but if you're to stupid to not get vaccinated then you've cast your own lot.  Good luck.

Let me add that my folks and brother are in that not getting vaccinated crowd.  At this point they get what they get.

what is harsh about that?  if you are an adult and look at the information out there and make a decision for yourself based on that information then that is the essence of freedom right there.
