This scouting can't be that damn hard.  Let coaches, coach.  Get the guys they want.  Quite being cute in the draft.  No massive trades for no compensation.  Just get the picks 50% right and we'll be golden.

YEEEESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We’re going to have to make our competition at QB decision 6 weeks before the draft. One of the biggest decisions we’ll make this year. And it will be done without a GM. And the new GM will be saddled with the consequences of that decision. Seems odd.

thats why I really question those that say this has been in the works for a while,   if they were going to move on from him IMO it would have happened several weeks ago.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

One guy should be making this decision and one guy only....and he will. See below:

I don't think people get credit for just being critical of the team. It's easy to be critical of the team and you don't have to wait long to be right. The career of a player, coach, GM, etc. is like 3 years long with any given team. Every team but one is ending the season falling short of their goal.

But wouldn't you be surprised to discover that KOC had no input on the Howell decision? I would be. I keep coming back to the idea that KAM wanted the QB on a rookie deal thing and KOC wanted Darnold. I mean, at the end of the day, that is the one big, glaring, embarrassing move with Darnold in the Super Bowl.

Supa, please step away from the ledge, take a deep breath and let's wait and see what the rest of the fallout looks like.

What if I told you that Howell wasn't KOC's deal? And what if I told you that KOC was really torn at the end between Uncle Sammy and his piece of clay in JJM....and he's not surprised at all by Darnold's success. It was a really tough spot and Sam wanted a commitment to be The Man or move on....because his agent knew that Seattle was all in on Darnold back in late December.

Just sayin'.

Like I said, I'd be shocked. KAM never struck me as the dictator type. But who knows? Maybe the Wilfs.

Yeah, KOC is making that decision not the GM.

But I do think it’s crazy that they’re just skipping a GM during the time when the GM does all their work.  Like we’re not that many weeks past the time when everyone else was fired and then hired.  It’s not like they’re that far behind everyone else that you have to punt on the hiring process.

I think they’re just going to let KOC and Flores draft like their jobs depend on it and if we don’t compete for a championship next year, they’ll be out and the new GM can reboot it however they want, unless we get reports that Kwesi was hitting on someone’s wife or whatever.
