I can go back and forth with you all day. I won’t lose sleep. I laugh at most of your shit
Have a great day, though.
It's ok that he frequently doesnt agree with our takes because he doesn't have the greatest track record anyway. I was actually happy to see him back after his lengthy hiatus because I value the draft info he posts, but he is still the same pompous ass he was as the day he left. If you disagree with him, it immediately turns into backhanded insults or him questioning your "sanity." It's the standard Barr playbook we've all seen for years. Just let the keyboard king sit on his throne feeling special and making his standard 30 posts a day. Gives him something to do between bags of Cheetos, vodka, and job applications. Auspicious company indeed...

I think it’s 27 posts a day.
And yes, I’m filling out tons of job applications. Been doing contract work for 15 plus years. It can be a pain in the ass at times, but typically I’m earning $1.25 on the dollar, so it pays off.
As far as track records go, I’ll put mine up against anyone who wanted Poles as GM 8 days a week.

Fact is, I liked that he was back as well. Then it quickly shifted to the same old same old. Too busy worrying about being better than the next, knowing more than whomever. I agree with you, it will turn into that. Every time.
It's all good. Just don't like how some people treat people. It isn't right. It's fucking gross actually.
I am gonna go grab a beer with some friends. Have a good night.

It's like the Karine Jean-Pierre of the board right here where if you say something untrue enough times you hope people will start to believe it. Find me anywhere that I said "I want Ryan Poles" and good luck with that because you won't find it. Hell, like 90% of this board, I didn't even know who Ryan Poles was before we brought him in to interview. The only comment I ever made was that Poles took the Bears job over ours because he could build the roster how he wanted without mandates from ownership. It was reported in the Minnesota media that Poles was the first choice of ownership for the job and was the first person they interviewed. We can bag on Poles all we want at this point but the reality is the Bears have won as many playoff games as the Vikings since we hired new GM's..so who cares?
With all that said, however, you will find me on record as saying that I thought we should have hired John Spytek for the job because his overall resume was better and he came from a scouting background, which I believe in over analytics when drafting and that's played out to this point with Kwesi and his struggles on draft day. If Spytek crashes and burns in Vegas, by all means rip me to shreds.

Ok, let's get this back to pre draft thoughts everyone.
The deeper a dive I do into this Draft and the #24 pick, the different ways to go and getting a really good player that would be impactful is really encouraging. Less than a month away now.

Last word on the dust up then I’m done.
@ Canthony One of the first things you did was attack me completely unprovoked. I’ll easily repost the thread as proof. I ignored it. That tactic didn’t work so yeah, keep poking the bear cage and you’ll get the bear. You’re so desperate for my attention even bad attention is better than being ignored. This has been the pattern for a decade. How about you ignore me and I ignore you? Show me how much you’ve changed as you’ve stated.
@ supafreak84 you know what you’re talking about but when you supplement your position with half truths and exaggeration it pisses me off. That’s a me problem. I can’t remember what I had for dinner Friday but your two biggest guys for GM were Poles because of his tie to the Chiefs and Spytek.
Bottom line, I take this shit way too seriously and I need to step away when it gets heated. I’ll own that and apologize and try to do better.

@ JustInTime You can justify your sickness for being an absolute questionable person all you would like to. That won't bother me. When the board was dead and damn near died all together, it was nice to see you back and I did make a shot at you, wanted to see where we were at and if we got over taking our ball and going home. Expecting conversation with different people. I even posted about it in a Savion thread, saying I know this was our downfall and hoping to make amends, backed it up with very good points, and asked why you seriously liked him so much. You instead ran with the insults and just tore anything down in your path. Again, your character is a major question. No matter what anyone says that doesn't agree with you, you attack them.
I too take this stuff serious in my life, but according to you, I am an idiot that has no clue about much of anything. Try being a better human being, because if you would like to compare lives, we can do so all got damn fucking day. Have a great day.
One last thought, you may know how to better say things when it comes to people analyzing the game. You may be better at explaining things you see, watch, and read about. You may be more articulate at times when breaking down a player more than a lot of people, I may give you that. Try being a better human about it, however. Some come to boards to read and maybe learn. I will bet more people will come away knowing far more than they came in here knowing because of you. Try embracing the "take this shit too seriously" and try being a better person about it. Teaching and leadership are definitely not your strong suit.

Anyway...
One though I can't get past is the possibility of a trade up. After Jeanty the most impact prospect is Hunter. I think he can easily take 80-90 snaps at this level. You get a CB1 that alters the way you can call D. Slice 7 is, IIRC, one CB in man and the rest of the guys in coverage playing some form of zone. Our top three frequent coverage schemes were zone variants. I'm guessing we played zone because we didn't have the horses for man. Honestly it could be BFlo just likes his zone and that's that.
But that 20 or so snaps on O? Are you kidding me? You have to double Jefferson leaving Addison and Hunter in single. Who covers Hock? You can't load the box so now Jones and Mason are gashing you left and right.
Hunter tilts the field on defense and offense. I've said before if I'm a GM without a contract, and Hunter slides out of the top three, I'm packaging the 24 the 26 first and a third for starters. I find a way. Then I get a blank check to sign.

Fair enough. I don't remember saying that, but if anything might have stated out of the candidates interviewed Poles or Spytek would have been preferred because they come from actual scouting backgrounds and I didn't believe in analytics being being the strongest suit when hiring a GM.
Bottom line is, we are all passionate about this ever infuriating team and all want the same thing, just don't always agree on the path to get there. I'd happily toast a beer with anybody on this board should we finally win one. I think we've all waited long enough

Amen to that.
I’ll put that lower rating on the 9 route on Sanders rag arm.
