W/out knowing more this soon, we can all probably agree its a politically motivated assassination.

I'm not sure where/if religion ties into it.

Yeah if it was red pom pom target list and had a tie to ANTIFA or BLM imagine the response especially by those posting he's a psycho, no harm no fowl. My guess is it's a failed Christian Nationalist idealist who Incel posters find common ground with, JMO.
