Detroit will Detroit tonight
#51
Josh Reynolds had two brutal drops that killed them even more than Dan Campbell last night. The Gibbs fumble too. They also let Purdy run free for so many big runs in the second half. I’ve been super critical of Campbell and think his act will wear thin sooner rather than later but last night he just did what he always does. For better or worse.

The players and coaches collectively whizzed it away, simple as that.

Lions had 2 playoff wins this year. One less than the Vikings in the last 20 seasons.

I've been waiting for the Vikings to get a Lombardi as long or longer than you. So I get the frustration of 77, 89, 98, 09 and 17.

But man, the Lions haven't sniffed the playoffs since 1991.  Comparing the 2 franchises is ridiculous imo.

You at least got to give yourselves a chance by making the dance - and the Vikings have done at least that.

Wasn't a comparison it was a stated fact.

Vikings have been somewhat relevant over those 19 years (until playoffs) while Detroit has not.

Detroit has now experienced the "agony of defeat" that we know all too well.

Well, I may be just another grumpy Vikings fan (cue the Eastwood "get off my lawn" pic), but I couldn't be less interested in watching a Super Bowl and it's mostly because I'm tired of the same fucking teams being good every year while the Vikings are once again at home. Just once, I'd love one morsal of the success teams like the 49ers and Chiefs have had. It's rough being a Vikings fan this time of year and it gets rougher every year..

At least if the Lions had won it would have made it a watchable game for me.
Not me. Love seeing the NFCN lose and choke. Twice on Sunday.

This narrative that other NFCN fans should be 'rooting' for Detroit, fuck that shit.

Not me. I live in northern California and get tired of the "Bang Bang Niner Gang" bullshit all the time and hearing my friends rub it in. I would have loved nothing more than to see the Lions beat them, but now I'm relegated to hearing all the bullshit the next couple weeks.
