Goodell, Stephen A Smith, and every pundit on ESPN will absolutely shit themselves in inclusive ecstacy if this were the case. Talk about doubling down on a gamble though. I just want to win, and if they do, I'll say I was wrong and salute the hires. If this blows up, then the Wilfs deserve to be skewered relentlessly for hiring two people with such limited football backgrounds to run their organization. Let's see how this plays out starting with this off-season, which should be an interesting one with a lot of big decisions@JustinTime18™ said:
Vikings are finalizing a deal to hire Browns’ Vice President of Football Operations Kwesi Adofo-Mensah as their next general manager, per multiple sources.
They are working diligently to add Catherine Raiche as the Assistant General Manager as well, per source.
Heads will be exploding...
Every hire is a gamble. There are no guarantees. Same with every draft choice. Everyone, including the decision makers who hire, will be scrutinized for whether their choices pan out or not. Why would this be any different?
Agreed, but this is a huge out of the box hire based on backgrounds and experience...so if this blows up, the Wilfs should be scrutinized at a higher level. I don't believe he was the most qualified person for the job and I certainly won't be alone in that assesment. To me it's in the same wheelhouse as the Raiders bringing in Mayock as their GM a couple years ago. I hope it works. All we can do is sit back and watch this thing unfold
what would scrutinizing the Wilfs accomplish? there have been absolute shit owners in the nfl... and most of them are still owners after decades of scrutiny.
