I have noticed over the years that often times there are some Vikings fans that will kick a player in his backside after he leaves the team for whatever reason. It is a sad display and shows a bit of the fans character or lack thereof. They can try to excuse it away or deny but the action betrays those excuses.
Agree, just the title of the tread is very immature/childish. But then again our current POTUS calls everyone names so part of our current culture to long distance/social media bully.
Really? If you don't like it, prove you are the mature one and keep scrolling. Short history lesson: I started this thread in 2014 after Teddy posted a stat line similar to what Ponder posted routinely. Everybody lost their minds about the sacrilege and how dare I even question Teddy's purple saviorhood!
Tom Moore then resurrected this thread in 2015 after Teddy enjoyed to that point the most success of his career.
To be clear: I wish TB the best of luck in the future, and I really truly wish he was the franchise qb we have been starved for as a fan base since sir francis.
The fact is that he didn't pan out here, hopefully his knee holds up so he can have a long career somewhere else, and Cousins brings us the Championship we so richly deserve. The franchise certainly paid enough for him.

Losing ones career to and injury hardly makes him a bust... so your crowing is IMO all for naught. prior to the injury his career path was pointed up with all the talk in camp being how much he had improved in the offseason. so i am not sure where you get "bust" from.

would advise you against dragging politics into a football thread. Will just leave it at that.

So Tom Moore is a horrible person because he resurrected your premature celebration of a players struggles? Of course him corrupting the database of the old server so you couldn't see the exact wording must just be icing on the cake for you.
Immature name calling of a Viking player will likely get called out, regardless of his purple savior status. And to call a player a bust in his rookie year after one game is the definition of premature...
Bottom line, if you want to be immature, then expect some less professional feedback.

However you want to spin it is fine by me.
In all my years of watching the NFL I have never heard of a player being called a bust because he suffered a career threatening injury and was let go. Do you really believe Cousins would even be here if Teddy didn't suffer that injury?? If you do I've got a bridge to sell you...

Yeah, if the 2 seasons that he didn't play, due to injury, he didn't get any better.... he wasn't anything special. I don't care that he was young and had so-called potential. He still wasn't anything special
Teddy's future is one of the great unknowns. Sure, the Jets have him...but the contract is very team-friendly and obviously focuses on just how healthy his knee is. No one, maybe not even Teddy, knows where his development and and health can take him until camp or even preseason.
I'd have loved for him to have been a great, long-term answer for our constant QB questions. As it is, I wish him well...but I can't pretend he was among the top tier of QBs regarding his overall play.
Will he get there? We'll find out together.

Bottom line, he wasn't a bust and it's a joke to call him a bust. When I think of a bust, I think of Ryan Leaf, Jamarcus Russell, Tim Couch, Akili Smith...anybody that puts Teddy in that class of guys as a "bust" just has a bias.
