I will take it.  NJ is just a little pissant NY wannabe.
Born and raised in the Bronx, Slappy. Lived in the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn and Northern NJ for 40 years before my job relocated me to Lake Norman in NC 14 years ago.

Nice try, though. Given your screen name, weren't you the dude that wiped up the piss splatters around the urinals at my high school? It's tragic to see you haven't been able to progress any further these past few decades. But at least you have the all you can eat buffet in those unflushed toilets! Hope you can get a lot of nutty ones this week!

We all know that.... it's very apparent you stick your pathetic little prick in one every night. On rare occasion it might even be of the human variety. Baaa-Baaa-Baaa. Sounds familiar, huh?
Your obsession with Spielman seems to come in second to your obsession with beastiality.  You should really seek some help.
I'm not the one stuck in South Dakota, Jimmy. Everyone knows you boys gotta inseminate SOMETHING during your 8 months of winter. The fact that it's usually not a human receptacle is understood. Quack quack, Hee haw, Oink oink, Cock a doodle doo,  Cluck cluck, Meow, Ruff ruff. Whatever floats you're boat, Skippy, I am sure you've sampled most species.

I'd also include the sound of a mouse, the most appropriate recipient for the size of your manhood, but I'm not sure what a mouse sounds like.

Enjoy your smorgasbord!

PS :  I forgot "Moo" but that's waaaay out your league. Although I'm sure you have fun milking Bessie!

Here is my opinion on a few things.

1) Pre GM years - can't totally blame Rick IMO.  He deserves some but we know others made final choices in most cases.  As Rick said he set your board based on input/desires/player profiles the coaches look for
2) Second year as GM finally got to hire his own HC as all GM's get to do
3) Rick does seem to try to learn from his mistakes
4) He takes chance - I like that.  They will pay off sometimes.
5) No GM is perfect.  To me Rick is slightly above avg.

Finally on Excuses vs Explanations.

I think most fans look in retrospect (as teams do) to try to see what went wrong, what can they do better, and to understand how things unfolded and why.   It's not an excuse to try to understand and explain what happened.

The dictionary defines excuse as a “defense, justification, and an alibi.” Where as explanation is “clarification, account and enlightenment.”

An excuse as we see from the definition is an alibi, a defense, it is removing ourselves from our behavior and not owning it. An explanation is clarifying for the other person why we behaved the way we do. It is enlightening them to who we are and where some of our less attractive traits come from. And then account, the root of accountability. The act of being accountable – the buck stops with us.

I see most folks on here offering Explanations not Excuses.

I really don't see the problem with njvike, personally. His opinions on Spielman are mostly reasonable, he's questioning the guy's track record. Wins and losses. Who the team has developed. Spielman is definitely not beyond reproach. The Viking's have been the ultimate disappointing franchise. The team is 5-2 right now, but who knows where they end up at year's end? The season is over the course of 17 weeks. Have we forgotten last year's bitter end after going 5-0? I sure haven't.

IMO, Spielman deserves scrutiny.

I get that. He does focus on that aspect. Just sayin' overall, if you really read what he's putting down, its mostly fair from a production standpoint as it relates to his criticism of Spielman.

Well, if you accept the notion that Rick operates completely in a vacuum...then yeah, he's spot on...unfortunately, that's not how Rick or any GM typically operates...

But I don't have to accept that notion to criticize Spielman. He's not beyond reproach. The team's record is 50-61 since 2010. That alone puts anyone involved with the team during the last 7 years under the spotlight....or at least should. I'm not saying Spielman is hot dogshit, but some pointed criticism about his track record isn't unwarranted.
