Male Cheerleaders?

I think a significant percentage of us don't care about the Male Cheerleaders except as a pattern of virtue signaling by the Wilfs. Let's be honest. If there was a way to have a Transgender player on the team...the Wilfs would be all over it. Part of its their Twin Cities base but I think part of it is in the Wilfs fabric as well. Until there's a transgender player...I guess the Wilfs will just have to settle for Van Ginkel...dude does have great hair...lol.

Were people asking for this to happen or was it a very vocal minority..or was it just the Wilfs? Don't know...and really don't care but the Wilfs need to be wary of their base...much the same as the Budweiser Exec that decided insulting your hardcore customers was the way to go. Why make an unforced error to potentially alienate your strongest base?

Again...not a big deal as a single issue...but is an issue for some as a pattern of wokeness with the Wilfs and the NFL for that matter. Maybe we can dial back the back and forth insults a little?

We're talking about cheerleaders here, man.  I wish I was more surprised that there are people who are genuinely pissed this is happening, but this is big 2025 after all.  It takes a certain lack of maturity to throw a fit about this.  Like, we had a gay player at one time.  I mean Prince was a huge fan of the Vikings, is honored by this team, and he wore high heels for fucks sake. Who gives a shit? If this bothers someone that much...go be a fan of another team.  No one is forcing anyone to be a Vikings fan.

When you own your own team, you can run it however you want.  Until then, shut up about things that don't affect the on-the-field product.

Nobody is pissed (at least here), it's just the typical absurd and ridiculous woke agenda of the league and select owners to cram it down our throats non stop, place it front and center, and people are just tired of it. This is just the latest in a long line of examples. Like, when does it end? I guess when it starts hitting their pocket books just like everything else. The Wilfs have done a lot of good things as owners from a football perspective, but pushing their social beliefs on the fanbase that is likely divided on the issue and using the organization as a conduit to spread those social beliefs is stupid and wrong. It would be the equivelant of having pro-life or abortion night at the stadium. Stick to football and leave the politics and other social bullshit at home. That's all we are saying.

But lets be clear, not all of us believe that all of "woke" is bad...Thats a dang broad brush to be painting with and not representative of the viewpoints of many in this country.

If you dont believe in some or all of it fine, this country used to find its strength in our differences.

I think that message would have more meaning if the side of diversity would quit labeling those that disagree with them racists and Nazis.  I can't think of much more hateful than painting a Nazi broad brush on anyone that disagrees with you.  You can't even have good genes/jeans these days evidently without causing an uproar.

I'm old enough to remember when we could disagree with each other without the outrage. Those that most strongly support "Diversity" don't actually support diversity.

The only people I see making it political, is people like yourself.  It is LITERALLY not a political issue.  It's a male cheerleader.  In a day and age where "woke" is just another term for "I don't like it because it doesn't fit my narrow scope of this world", the Wilfs can do whatever they want with their team.  I'm not an banner waving advocate for anyone, it just simply doesn't bother me.

Have you read the news, looked on social media, or anything regarding this topic outside of this forum? It's great you don't consider it a big deal or a bother, but there are plenty that do (I'd say a majority) and are tired of the political messaging in sports
