Saw the movie tonight and it was outright excellent. The big studios that refused to pick this up, the silence of the hollywood elite, and the lack of action by our current administration should infuriate everyone. Any resistance to this film is very telling about those that do. Its pretty much a good versus evil thing.
Went to see Oppenheimer yesterday and it was good not great IMO. It was hard to follow and will require a second viewing when it is released at home. I might be just old, but both my wife and I thought the sound was muffled which made it even harder to follow. The hype on the movie is ridiculous IMO. I would give about a 7 out of 10 Oh well, just my opinion.

I have a hard time with movies / situations where kids are at risk / targeted / placed in dangerous situations or threatened - yeah, it happens, I get that, but it doesnt mean I like it.
Maybe its the teacher in me, but i have ZERO TOLERANCE for those who victimize, abuse, neglect, harrass, or otherwise harm children, or put them in Harms way. There a special rung in Dantes Inferno for them.
Yeah, I haven't watched it yet mostly because of this.

I was worried about this. Today, everything is AMAZING. The reviews are almost always over the top. Look at the top 10 popular movies or shows on Netflix....almost always garbage.

I volunteer working with survivors of human trafficking. Trafficking shows the deepest, darkest, ugliest depths of humanity and the unbelievable strength of those who survive. The idea of watching anything like this on the big screen is a hard pass for me.

Maybe more people need to see the ugly truth to gain a clue as to what’s going on in our world?

Really, A hard pass ? I am sure if you work with these victims you have heard much worse than what's being portrayed on the big screen. if anything I would have expected you of all people to he screaming at people to see a film like this to help raise awareness to these atrocities towards children. No matter row real some things are there are those that won't recognize it until they see it for themselves.

I get really wound up when the political agenda outweighs the basic decency to distinguish right from wrong. It may not be the case here, but it certainly appears to be. How can anyone not want the truth to come out when it comes to stuff like this?

I guess that's my point. I have been aware and trying to do what I can in the meantime. My uncle just passed away, he is a proud Marine who served in Vietnam. Agent Orange exposure so his medical chart says. That has been weighing on my mind as well as working on going through his house, collaborating with the VA and a lot of traveling back and forth prior because of wanting to spend time with him and my family especially my mom since they were best friends. So my energy is very focused right now. Also working on celebration of life planning and making memorials. Honoring him is my number one priority right now.
