Not to piss in everybody's Cheerios, but this has been an excellent San Francisco defense for a few years now and they are an elite unit when healthy. Robert Saleh got the Jets job on the back of this defense and proceeded to lead the Jets to the 32nd ranked defense in the league in his first year as head coach...dead last! To me a lot of the credit for this 49ers defense goes to John Lynch who's been able to identify and draft a lot of really good players. Go look at their depth chart and look at how many starters they have that were drafted in the 3rd round or later. It's impressive.
Let’s look at the starters they drafted:

Bosa - 1st
Armstead - 1st
Kinlaw (IR) - 1st
Jones - 6th

Warner - 3rd (70th)
Al-Shaair - UDFA

Mosley - UDFA
Ward - 1st
Tartt - 2nd

They have three outstanding first rounders and a solid second rounder. Warner was a very early 3rd and an outstanding pick. The other three are replacement level payers. The majority of their talent is from the first two rounds (and nearly there with Warner). What’s impressive about the late round picks?

Given KAM's inexperience as a GM, I think it would be prudent to hire an experienced HC. Pederson has always been my first choice. If he's not a candidate, then I would hire Morris.

Pederson 2.0 might be very good.

Amen to that...

I posted in another thread how Pederson should be high on the list.

IF he's isnt? Well then the Vikings FO owes me an explanation why not.

His experience is another bonus to pair with KAM.

LB Fred Warner on San Francisco DC DeMeco Ryans:

"His play calling is amazing, in clutch moments, in the calls he makes it gives you so much confidence as a player."

Texans HC job is still vacant...Just saying!

The 49ers defense kept them in the game, Packers had no answer for them all game.
did you see the opening drive?
pack marched down the field, unmolested.  only offensive td.

true that after the opening drive…9ers d was excellent.

pack O outgained 9er O.
why dont we want the packer D coord, Joe Barry?
he statistically out-performed Ryans.

Wow someone had a bad day so you have to go into every thread and be a complete tool or is that just the daily for you?
Might wanna mind yer manners a bit.

He attacked your opinion, not you.  I suggest you do the same.

I like both Pederson and Morris as well.  Not convinced about 1-year wonders like - O'Connell, Ryans, Moore, McDaniel.  It's like a young QB who looks great at first then teams have a year to make them look like fools.  Give me guys that have done it at different levels for a few years each or a HC who won a team's first SB with a backup QB.
