Mensah is a rising star. Analytics crowd will love him.
Was just telling a buddy the other day that in 10 years there will be much fewer "football guys" on NFL staffs. GMs, OCs, DCs--they'll all be analytics people,  game theory people.

How long did it take NFL teams to recognize that deferring--kicking off to start the game and getting the ball after the half--was a big advantage?

Isn't Brandon Staley a big analytics guy?

I'm not sorry to say that I don't see Spielman as a victim at all. He is a grown man being held accountable for his part in the situation the Vikings find themselves in. I don't think it would have worked as well if one was kept and one fired. It was time to move on.

There's some comfort in  the devil you know, but after 16 years, it's time. Beyond time.

I'll be 62 when the next season starts. I was 16 when we last played the Super Bowl. Clock is ticking louder every year.

If you can hear your ticker getting louder you should try one of these:

Sure there is but that can mean stagnation. I want fresh perspectives and approaches. I am fascinated by the various backgrounds of the people that interviews are being requested for. Experience and evolution is also important.

Agreed and I'm just ready for a change. Checking this board and twitter for news the past week has been exciting. Can you all imagine if the Wilfs said yeah, we're gonna give Mike and Rick one more year to turn this thing around? This board would be a dead zone and so would the season ticket sales office.
