Looks like Dennison wasn't fired, the team and he are in 'discussions'. So maybe a little premature sports media.
Even better. Send the message without sacrificing the coach. Now, we'll see if he comes around. Betcha a dollar and a donut that the the "fired" report was leaked intentionally.
How long have coaches, players, ownership been aware of these rules and tiering?

You cant just turn around head to CVS and be back on the field tomorrow. His best bet is the J&J 1 poke which may allow him to be back in 14 days. Moderna or Pfizer? A hell of a lot longer.

That's if Dennison even takes it in any form. His days could very well be over as a Vikings coach. While players make the coaches in this league, I've never been a fan of his.

As an aside, another coach, Patriots co-offensive line coach Cole Popovich, will reportedly not be with New England during the 2021 season "in a decision related to the COVID-19 vaccine," according to ESPN.

Because now is when the vaccine policy came out?

My guess is Dennison threatened to sue and the Vikes are lining up their ducks to defend such a claim.  Look, it was reported the Vikes elevated one coach and hired a new coach -- that is not really just a message.

My guess is: (1) Dennison applied for a waiver (probably for religious grounds).  (2) The NFL denied the waiver.  (3) Vikes told Dennison he was out unless he gets vaccinated so he can actually coach.  (4) Dennison hired an attorney and appealed the denial of his waiver and wanted the Vikings to pay out the rest of his contract.  (5) The Vikes backtracked and are waiting to see whether Dennison has even a right to appeal the denial of his waiver or for the denial of his appeal.  The safest avenue for the Vikes is for this to procedurally play out under whatever rules the NFL implemented and then fire Dennison.  It puts them in the best position not to pay Dennison.

The vaccine really works!  It cured the Vikings of Rick Dennison and there's now a high chance of the Dozier infection going away too.

Vaccine issue aside for a moment...

Who here really believes Dennison is the best resource to get the very most out of a young line with a lot of recent, high draft capital on it???

Great question. One the one hand, he's taken his lumps the last couple of years for mediocre line play, but how much of that is attributable to the talent level? On the other hand, he's had success in the past with this offensive scheme, so wouldn't he be a good resource for all the young guys we have?

Spelly and Zim.  But fate and Dennison's knuckleheadedness intervened.  It's enough of a miracle break--forcing a good decision onto those two twits--to make me think maybe it's finally our turn.  Plus if the conspiracists are to be believed, the NFL wants to play the black national anthem at a Super Bowl featuring the team from George Floyd's home town. It may be written in the stars...... Nah!

I don't think it's black and white. Dennison clearly knows and teaches the Kubiak/Shanahan outside zone very well. But I question his ability to develop players.

Does any of us know for a fact that Dennison does not have an underlying medical condition that would make it dangerous to take the vaccine?
