Kwesi trades Howell for more than we gave Seattle, then signs Wentz for nothing. Granted I'm no Wentz fanboy, but it's better than staying with Howell or trying to stash Brosmer and losing him.

We didn't give up a draft pick for Howell, it was a swap of 2 5th's with the Vikings giving up the equivalent value of a mid-6th.

He was probably realistically looking at whether he should go hunting or fishing this Fall. Vikings are his 5th team in five years. Only been active for 13 games in the last three seasons. I don't think he expected to be in the league this year, much less trying to find a spot he could compete to start. With all that said, I do like the fit here in Minnesota backing up McCarthy. Just wish we had made this move at the beginning of free agency instead of two week before the season starts. Hopefully we don't need him

I like the move. Wentz still has enough in the tank to win a few games if needed. That's all you can really ask for in a veteran backup QB.

Its fine with me also. I'll reiterate again the best part is that they acknowledged quickly that Howell wasn't cutting it so be decisive....and they were. Not sure why anyone would be hot and bothered over this, its QB2.
