Made popular by two posters, one that doesn't 'post here anymore' and another that has 69 posts in 11 years. Yippee. There's a history here, jimmy....that's why its a little popular right now. No irony. Trust me, we know how YOU feel about this.

You seem to be one of the top contributors to the thread. I will move it over and then you wont have to feel so ironical.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

Both very distasteful and I find the extreme Left slightly more gag-inducing than the extreme Right. But because I find Trump a nauseating piece of shit, I'm SuperLiberal Man somehow. No more room online for being moderate I suppose. Issue by issue is how to evaluate and form opinions, not by party. Not by religion. Each issue unto itself.
It's easier in real life, when people actually need to look into your eyes lol!
The keyboard brings out the worst in humanity.
I actually like some of the things Trump is trying to do. Not a fan of the guy himself, Tariffs or Musk, but trying to reign in Fed inefficiencies isnt too bad of a notion.
We should be getting rid of criminals, but I fear too many good people are being dispelled along with them and its breaking up families. I dont believe a person born male should be particicpating in women sports, but the depiction and treatment of the trans community as a whole has been shameful and ugly.
I could go on and on, but I wont. I tell my (very liberal) wife to quit losing her sh it everyday. Everything is cyclical and the mid-terms arent far away lol!

Lol. I found a little humor in that you're replying to the "moderate" not-antagonistic-fringe-extremist who initiated a thread that basically brought a "Look at these crazy political pieces of shit" vibe to a peaceful non-political board. Who's keyboard is doing the most divisive work?

There is a lot to unpack in much of this thread - but here at least we're having some civil discussion vs discourse, hate and anger.
The country needs more open dialogue. God gave us 2 ears and one mouth for a reason.
We disagree politically, but you're reasonable, and dialogue can take place in that kind of environment.

This is true. There are active members of this board who I've met in person that were nice as can be, but when they knew they wouldn't be seeing me again called me a racist, which is pretty funny given my background, but I digress.
I can disagree with people all day long, but I always go by the motto that anything that I post to a person online I would and will say straight to them in person. That tends to keep you inside the ropes enough to not turn totally into a keyboard warrior.
I'm obviously highly conservative, but I find the other side quite unable to admit they're radically to the left. While I'm voting for a Republican that gained the support of millions of union members, and the other side supported a guy who wants tampons in boys bathrooms, I'm pretty sure I made the right vote. That's why you say there is a lens while I feel there is right versus wrong to much of the argument going on.

Sticky,
About my post count: you caught me, I’m mostly a reader and rarely a poster on VF. I'm happy that there is not on-going political war in the forum. I’m interested in what others have to say about the Vikings, upcoming free agency, draft, etc. I keep coming back because there are several posters who provide very high signal/noise posts and are nearly always well worth reading. I’ll protect the innocent by not listing them. You will be surprised to know that you are usually on my list of to-read posters but I occasionally take exception to your posts. Taking exception is usually having a different point of view. We all have our opinions.
Today, I spent some time reading VH and smiled, recognizing several former posters from PT and VF. I remember them as good people and clearly Viking fans with their many past Vikings related posts. I rarely followed the political posts on PT or VF so I am not aware of who was and who was not a pot stirrer. Nor do I want to know. I thought the VH discussion posts/opinions were “interesting” and my opinion of the threads ranged across the full spectrum. It is happy that they formed their own group.
Your original post suggests that they do not have a fan component to their forum. There clearly is a Viking fan component to the VH forum. Check out their sports forum and you will see several football related threads and responses. A low volume compared to other football forums but a volume nonetheless. I respectfully ask you to refrain from saying “no Viking posts on their discussion page”. You are correct but apparently did not know that their discussion forum is for non-sport topics. The more correct and truthful statement is to say “there are Viking threads on their sports forum”.
Yes, I do agree that football makes up a small percentage of their forum traffic but there’s nothing wrong with a group choosing their own path. You have chosen not to participate in VH which is good for you and probably for them as well. Have a great day!
