He's a hell of a coach, but I also like KOC. I really don't have an issue right now with it but who knows in the next couple years? I'm not giving up already on the new regime in Minnesota, far from it. But to each their own.
It's well known I'm not a fan of the front office or the process by which this front office was hired. KOC was a dice roll, which I'd normally be okay with....but not at the expense of bringing in a proven commodity and winner like Harbaugh. The guy has won everywhere he's been and I've been pounding the table for him in Minnesota since early Stanford days. I would bet the decision to hire KOC over Harbaugh had everything to do with a new GM not wanting to relinquish any control in building this team, which you'd expect to have to give up on some level when you bring Harbaugh in as your coach. Easier to bring in a fresh "yes" man with no prior experience. This is year 3 though for the new regime and its a put up or shut up offseason because we are falling behind in the division..
Christ man I know you hate Kwesi but does that just turn the stupid switch in your brain on full every morning?

The ONLY reason Harbaugh came here for an interview was his connection to and like for Kwesi.  And Kwesi wanted him but the Wilf corporate committee led by Andrew Miller said no.
Lmao yup, I just flick the "stupid switch" on every morning just to piss off people like yourself during their morning constitutionals. Settle down Francis...

If you have anything other than conjecture as to why Harbaugh wasn't hired...feel free to share. The fact is nobody knows, and nobody will ever know...so questioning the as to "why" is perfectly fair

Once again it was reported by MN media and insiders that he came ill prepared and that pissed off ownership. Like you know, ownership who write the checks and have final say. Fully understand that doesn't fit your narrative but you choosing not to believe it doesn't make it any less true. Said it before, will say it again. Must be wonderful to live in a world where through use of mental gymnastics, straw manning things to death, and what aboutism you never have to be wrong.

You can probably thank Jim Stapleton for that set of circumstances.
Jim Stapleton is not and has never been a minority owner of the Vikings. That has been debunked. Stapleton was part of Reggie Fowlers team that bid on the Vikings. He would have been a member on the board of directors had the Reggie deal not fell through. He did then assist the Wilfs but was never given any offical role after they took ownership.
Did I say insinuate anything about Stapleton's official position on the org. chart?

What, did you get up on the wrong side of the bed today?

Their leaked "story" about him is good cover to quell an upset fan base that wanted him in purple.

Doesn't matter now, he'll be building an NFL winner elsewhere next year.

Lol then what does a guy who only briefly, and nearly 20 years ago, have to do with Harbaugh not being hired in MN two seasons ago?

Not sure what about my pretty tame reply leads you think I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. If that goes as harsh in your book I apologize if I hurt your delicate sensibilities.

Harbaugh stated that JJ is the best QB Michigan has ever had, doubt the great Jim Harbaugh could be wrong…  Wink B)

Like I said, if you have a link from a credible source...post it! Specifically the pissing off ownership part as the reason he wasnt offered the job. If you are right, and ownership nixed the first order of business for a new GM they just hired who wanted Harbaugh...that's a bad look on the Wilfs. No other way to cut it. You hired a man to do a job, so let him fucking do it the best way he can and stay out of his way.

Jim Stapleton. What does a guy who hasn't had anything to do with the Vikings in nearly 20 years have to do with Harbaugh not getting hired over KOC?
