I’d be so excited if we took Willis but I haven’t let it enter into my mind as a possibility ever since we extended Kirk. Don’t give me hope now guys cmon.
Will not happen. Would be so un-Viking like. But I'd like it as well.

Yep. DB. Some Guard no one has ever heard of. Or Willis goes one pick before us and then reports come out how much the Vikings loved him. This is the Viking way.

^please let this be a reverse jinx and we get Willis. Dammit I went and got a little hope for this to actually happen…

I would love the Willis pick at 34 a lot more if we hadn't given up our 2nd to Detroit. Not sure we could get a starting corner with one of our third round picks unless we package them to move up in the 2nd.

I fail to see the infatuation with a QB who has a completion percentage actually worse, and having thrown 4 times as many ints. as this project called Kellen Mond, in their respective last college year. At this point you might as well just draft Breece Hall and get your pure RB.

They've done all the work on him and have met with him on multiple occasions. That was all done under Spielman's direction however.

My best feel based on what I've been hearing is they go Booth or Gordon but would be open to a trade down if a team wanted to come up for Willis or Ridder. I don't think they're looking to trade down like they were in the 1st however so you'd need to convince them to move out of the pick.

I will end with this on Willis - Unless you are fully invested in Kirk long-term or are ok with trading multiple 1sts at some point to get QB, this is the highest upside you're going to find. When it comes to QBs, bet on tools, its how you eventually get it right. He needs time but he has the personality, is smart, and he would immediately be a top 3 rushing QB in the league with no passing development whatsoever.

If they do go Willis with our second round pick, should we expect them to start working the phones in an attempt to move Kellen Mond?
I mean someone has to have a box of plastic forks to trade.

I think that the pick of Cine provides us with the flexibility to potentially move Bynum to CB, I think he can be successful wherever they play him.

I agree with you. I’d rather go Howell
