For Kirk or Hunter? The Hunter trade scenario is very complicated with the $18M bonus. Its a big 3-way staring contest the way I understand it.

- Hunter wants new money on the deal (not prorating the roster bonus). The Vikings are ok with giving it to him in that format albeit the guarantees down the road are worrisome.

- The pass rush market is not moving very quickly due to the deep draft class. So offers aren't very compelling to pull the trigger

- Plenty of team want the Vikings to eat at least a portion of the roster bonus in a trade, which they don't want to do.

So we keep waiting.
Yeah I was referring to this alleged trade offer for Cousins that the Wilfs shot down

A lot of #Vikings fodder from

Judd indicates in this episode that the Wilfs said no to a potential Kirk trade w/o a viable backup plan.

Plus Doogie mentions a new team maybe having interest Hunter
That's what I have been saying. The Wilf's wanted Kirk all along and they found a GM and HC who believed they could make that work. I also suspect Harbaugh didn't want Kirk.
As far as Hunter goes, I believe they will move him but it's just a matter of finding the best deal. They can't do much else until they figure that out.

The Wilfs are good owners, but if they are nixing deals that our new GM thinks would improve the team...it's a problem.

So now the Wilfs and OConnell both got what they wanted, two more years of Cousins and paying him big bucks. Hope it's all worth it

Not saying dealing Kirk with zero backup plan was a genius-level move or anything, but also don't love hearing that our owners are meddling. Hmm

Vikings missing out on any decent guards or centers, just like the old regime. If you are gonna go all in with Kirk........
Gotta have money to sign people. Gotta get our own cuts/restuctures out of the way first.
That shit should have all been settled prior to the start of FA, not once things are actually taking place.

Would love to hear if Geoff has any insight on what the offer was and from what team? I'd assume Indy

Fuck Hunter,  great player when healthy,  but missing the better part of 2 consecutive seasons does not make him an asset worth unloading the bank on with any guarantees.

NE trading Shaq Mason to TB for a 5. TB lost both starting OGs and now traded for one with 2 SB rings.  Meanwhile, the Vikings are ...? Not looking for an OG? How about Tretter at C ?
