Vikings Schedule
#21
Some interesting observations:

Week 2 @ GB - GB plays @ Chicago the week before
Week 7 @ Detroit - Detroit plays @ GB week before
Week 9 @ KC - KC plays @ GB week before
Week 10 @ Dallas - Dallas plays @ NYG week before
Week 13 @ Seattle - Seattle plays @ Philly week before
Week 16 vs GB - GB Plays Chicago week before
Week 17 vs Chicago - Chicago plays KC week before

Seems to me we're timing these match ups pretty well.  Example:  Going to Seattle after they've played Philly is good timing IMO.  Same thing for week 17.  I would suggest we're going to catch some of these teams coming off tough games would be favorable.

By the way... 5 PRIME-TIME GAMES???
I was surprised by this also, I thought the league would be off the Viking's bandwagon this year.

A late bye week and 3 of the last 4 games at home against the NFCN. I like that. No freezing games outside in late December, also love that.
Little reason to complain here.
I don't think they were ever really on the bandwagon. But I think the prime time games are more about the opponents. I think they like seeing the Vikings shit the bed in prime time. They have to get over that and show up.

Wow yeah that's nice we finish with the 3 Divisional home games.
Week 12 bye is solid. Road game after the bye is nice.

Not much to complain about here really.
And selfishly... the Vikings are playing in Los Angeles again, woohoo! I'll be there!
I plan on being there this time since it is a sunday
So I just checked out of curiosity and Chargers tickets are already on sale. Official face value ones, not reseller prices. I grabbed a pair for my wife and I. Probably worth snagging before prices go up if you know you are going to attend. I saw a few pairs get snagged while I was searching, so people are buying them...

PSA- Vikes home game tickets are ON SALE NOW too.

I'm not sure when these tickets went live but if anyone is wanting to get in before the scalpers, get on ticketmaster.

Wow did not know they were on sale already. Am out of work so hopefully does not sell out to quick.   Not sure when I will get back to work.   All depends when my back decides it wants to heal ☹

Good luck dude, that's very hard. I have an Uncle who works in carpentry and has been going through something similar with his knees. Sending thoughts your way

Is that why you're calling 11 wins.

I must be crazy.  I see 11 or 12 wins (depending on injuries-as always).
I appreciate your optimism, but yes you are crazy.

I look at this schedule, especially the road games, and think we will be looking at 8-8 or even 7-9.

Our OLine is still a disaster going into the draft and I don't trust Rick to fix it. I hate to have a glass half empty
outlook on the season but he has let that part of the team down too many times since he took over.

Outside of Hunter, our Defensive line is also a question mark. Richardson was a liability on Run defense and with his departure to Cleveland, Shamar Stephen, Jaleel Johnson, or Jalyn Holmes will have to step up their play big time at the 3T position for Zimmer's pass rush to be effective. Joseph seemed to disappear over the season, and Griffin still remains a big question mark.

We still have lots of holes to fill on both sides of the ball to be a contender, and Cousins will have to be more effective against Playoff caliber teams where he really struggled last year.

Well, if we have to go Seattle, I like having to go to Seattle after our Bye - and Cousins had a great comeback game in Seattle when he played for Washington:

I just saw the Bucs schedule.  If you want to see a team getting screwed, check it out.
They play at home on Sept. 22.  Their next actual home game isn't until Nov. 10th.  There's a London "home" game in between there, against the division rival Panthers, and they have to travel to LA and Seattle in there.  Has there ever been a division game played in London?

The Raiders are in a similar situation - they will go 7 weeks after the first two games which are at home - before playing another home game. That is f'd up.

Jeez, same setup.  Neither team plays at home in October.  Both got screwed.
