I guess any head coach who is 1-31 the last two years and 9-39 overall can't be all bad.  Wink
not having a QB and having the front office that he dealt with makes it darn hard to put much of that at his feet.  Im not defending the guy,  but that franchise is a mess from the top down,  hard to blame the middle man.

I get it their organization is a dumpster fire and has been for years, but it's not like they haven't had talent and they lost 6 games by 6 points or less in 2017.  Some of that has to be on the coach.
or perhaps its a sign that he has got the team close in spite of not having a QB.  I dont really watch the browns enough to say he is good or not,  but i dont know what a coach could do with no QB and a front office that uses numbers over football sense and an owner that trumps everybody on the advice of a physic and a homeless man.

Well, they've had QB's.  Just arguably bad ones.  But just like in 2017, in 2016 they lost 5 games by 6 points or less.  And like 2017 several were in OT.  I gotta believe in two years...16 home games...you should be able to win more than 1 game at home.
DeShone Kizer (2017–present)
Robert Griffin III (2016)
Cody Kessler (2016)
[*]Josh McCown (2015–2016)

Will Brinson of CBS Sports has the Vikings listed as the third most likely landing spot behind Cleveland and Jacksonville. He said we were almost tied for second but that he thinks we will work something out with one of our FA QB's and that McCarron is not better than the 2017 Case Keenum, but may be better than the 2016 Case Keenum.

McCarron's wife is very hot so he has that going for him no matter who he signs with.

With all the picks the Browns have signing AJ wouldn't preclude them from taking a QB #1 this year.

If they don't they should be forced to sell to a new owner.  No excuse not to,  hell if they got cousins they should still use a first rounder on a QB.

JMO, Vikings have no interest in McCarron. He's a very similar player to Teddy.

Charley hit this one on the head:

Don’t be surprised if the Vikings hire former Oakland Raiders offensive coordinator Todd Downing from Eden Prairie as a passing game specialist.

The news that we were hiring him came out before the little birdy released this nugget though...  B)

Ha, little did we know that Charlie's 'little birdy' is his Twitter feed.

That's what I was thinking but I wasn't sure of the time line...but hey, Charlie really needed a win so. ...
