Trevor Lawrence?

lol, Trevor Lawrence has played in what 74-75 NFL games? He's 32-42 career record as wins and losses. The guy has gotten more runway than the landing Space Shuttle. Bryce Young has played in 43 games total and his team has now won 8 games to get over .500 in probably one of the worst divisions in the NFL and we should crown him? McCarthy is 5-4 as a starter and some fans want him gonzo already. Sometimes I think I'm in Bizarro Land when it comes to this stuff. Everyone has their own narratives for every player it seems, their own timetables, etc.

Honest to God, maybe I'm not cut out for online sports interactions anymore...... Huh

My only point is that everyone always overreacts about every damn thing, QBs and their contracts chief among them. I think it's really hard to play QB in the NFL. It takes time, patience, a good coach and a few good players around you. Sometimes, changing one or two of those things can make all the difference for a QB. If Mayfield (who now apparently sucks again lol), Darnold and Goff weren't clues, Lawrence, Young and Jones should be.

Not saying Lawrence is now some "great" QB. Just that there are only two types of QBs in the NFL: those you can win with and those you can't, and he's probably in that first group.

If we are going to do that, the line starts with the 100s of threads toasting Caleb Williams.

Before the year I had lots of optimism for their offense with a new coach. I believed Liam Coen could finally "unlock" Trevor Lawrence. Plus, now they had #1 pick Travis Hunter and last year's rookie stud Brian Thomas Jr. at WR. On paper they seemed primed for a come-up.

Instead it's been the same old mess in Jacksonville. If the season were to end today, I have no idea what they'd be thinking about their QB. Is Lawrence's contract bad enough to sink the coach after this year or next too? Maybe

I wasn't wrong... I was early! Tongue
