Check out Sloter's video this pre-season. Consider me impressed. Isn't it about time something good happens to this franchise? How about like Favre, Brady great?

Crazy? probably, but what does Keenum get us, 7 wins? If Sloter turns out to be horrid, we're sitting better in the draft next year. Gotta have a dream. These nightmares for the last 20 years have been enough already. At this point, I'd take bottom of the barrel over eternal mediocrity, if it means a way out of the same old crap. Sometimes ya gotta roll the dice.
No F'ing way am I ready to throw in the towel on the season.  Sloter isn't ready or he would be the backup in Denver.

i think it kind of depends on the kids mental makeup.  some guys can take repeated ass whoopins and build on them,  others it just crushes their souls.  if we had to pick between a journeyman QB leading us to 5 wins and ending the season at  6 and 10 picking at 8-10 vs a mentally competitive kid getting 4-5 wins and actually building for the future... I will take the kid everytime.   if hes going to crack with pressure,  then no,  dont put him out there.

It's not like the rest of the team sucks, like last year. We aren't sending Bambi out to be slaughtered behind a wet toilet paper line, where the kid is going to get blasted before he can plant his feet. We know what we have with Case. He's a backup. I'm willing to wait for Sloter to learn the offense so he doesn't have any restraints on the play calling, but he should have the play calls down cold in another week or 2 with reps in practice.

As for what's going on in Denver... It's been a QB shit show since the last year of Manning's tenure. Jumped the gun with Paxton Lynch, and certainly weren't going to dump their 1st rd pick for the undrafted kid. Why they tried to hide Sloter on the practice squad and were then forced into bringing Osweiller back is a mystery given what Sloter showed this preseason.

Too bad for Sam, too bad for the team, too bad for us fans.  Looks like we get killed again this week, dammit.

I think we are still in this game as we will be for most home games.   our defense with a home crowd is a huge plus as long as the offense gives just enough to keep the fans engaged.  its the road games that will be the biggest challenges as well as home games against better competition like the Packers.  ( i know tampa is improved,  but I am a kid from the early days of the bucs and thats the team i remember :p )

Didn't they cut Sloter because they needed a backup, and got Osweiller for that purpose?

Hope so, Jimmy.  I'm just so sick of this team not having a reliable QB.  I've seen all the backups over the years, and Keenam is just like all the others; not horrible, but nothing special to lead the team.

Our defense isn't good enough to carry this team alone.  We saw that last season, and last week proved that's still the case.

didnt the browns fire bill belicheat?  john elway has made some head scratching moves.  maybe he was right on Sloter,  but preseason results dont seem to support it. ( especially if you look at what osweiller has done since leaving denver)

big difference having the crowd noise work for you vs work against you.
