Wow, 49ers trade for Chase Young.

Yep for a 3rd round pick, the Commodes have now traded their 2 stud DE’s for a high 2nd(Bears) & probably a low 3rd(Niners)! Good luck Riverboat Ron…!  B)

Riverboat Ron is toast. None of these moves make them better this season

If the plan isn't to resign him,  anything better than a 4th round pick is a win.  Cousins uncertainty really clouds this now as I doubted they could keep all 4 of the big contracts they are facing.
He would be a third round comp pick, so no shit.

give up a high 2nd rounder for a 9 game rental player in a season where you may end up getting the first overall pick in the next draft..... tell me again how you plan to get fired?

They can tag him or if he does leave they will most likely get a comp pick.

but the most they would get for a comp pick would be a third ( effectively 4th ) round pick in 25,  which pushes it back to essentially a 5th rounder in compensation for giving up a high 2nd round pick in 24.   sure they can tag him,  but as little as we see that done,  I have to think the negatives seem to outweigh the positives in that move.  it just didnt seem like a logical move  for a team that is a long ways from being competitive.

Ryan Poles is trending towards being the worst GM in football.  We dodged a bullet there letting him go run a division rival.
