there was another good one where he shoved the DE to the ground on an inside move and then just leaned over and pinned him to the ground so he couldnt get up and continue his rush.
He's a monster. Best LT I've seen in purple since Gary Zimmerman? I actually think Darrisaw will turn out better. He truly can dominate.
Zimmerman was as good as it gets - best technician I have ever seen. Well, him and McDaniel.

I just hope Darrisaw can get to that level for that long.
Damn, that left side of the line was good as it gets 88-92

The MNF crew was not going to talk about Bosa getting owned, he is one of the darlings. It still happened and was fun to watch

Great game for Darrisaw. But then I expect that from him. Bosa held out and got his big payday this summer. 2 sacks so far.

Kudos to Rick for making this pick.
Yea I was a huge vocal proponent of taking Darrisaw and almost crapped myself when he traded down and still got him.

Last season the Pat McAfee show did a weekly  30-45 minute segment where AJ Shipley broke down line play. Damn near weekly Darrisaw was featured and Shipley absolutely gushed. It got to the point where by mid-season he was visibly annoyed that more people were not talking about him.

Which led me to thinking about the hype our tackles are getting this season. I've heard/read several comments from talking heads saying MN has the best tackle combo in the league. And it's analysts not known for knowledge of line play.

Do you guys think it's because the two tackles are playing that much better? Or are people reading the PFF weekly grades and overall rankings and running with that? Not saying they aren't playing great but the sudden level of talk right around the time PFF started gushing is interesting.

Oh I don't know, PFF gushed about them last year too. And for good reason, both are damn good tackles. It's rare to have elite tackles on both sides.

Regarding PFF, it's probably not wise to put much weight into a single game grade. Snapshots never show the whole picture. But like all data, when taken over time, it becomes more accurate.

I hear ya. When he traded down, I thought he'd lost his mind.

I had thought that draft was a slam dunk. Davis at guard, Davidson at TE. ISM and fast Kene. Ugh. The first step is admitting it.

I think that was Boza again...man had a rough day against Darrisaw...
Actually it looks like Bosa tripped over Risner's legs with the help of Darrisaw pushing him.

I think it's just tough to give too much credit to someone playing well but within a bad unit.  So the last couple years our OLine has struggled, so how elite can one of those guys really be when Cousins got hit 7 times in a game?  But you get the unit as a whole playing well, and all of a sudden you get a game against a good opponent where there's no sacks and people take notice.
