Its a weird take to be qanon this qanon that, and then never mention epstein or maxwell.
A conspiracy theory is a theory without much evidence and it leads people to fill in the gaps with their imagination. The FBI sucked up a ton of evidence regarding epstein and the jons who were going to his island, and they hid it away from the public preventing us from knowing the information that is out there.
The government by hiding everything from the people creates conspiracy theorists. If you are against conspiracy theories, you should be for transparency.
If these journalists wanted to, they could put a ton of pressure on politicians to be transparent, but instead they focus on labeling people as kookie, but we're all conspiracy theorists now, and not by choice, and that label only works on the dumb.

If you get a chance, listen to Mel Gibson or especially Caviezel talk about their conspiracy theories. Its out there in a way that makes a sane person question their mental stability. Mel Gibson's Dad was a real piece of work.
No thanks. I don't have the patience for that shit anymore.

Not an astute comparison if you ask me. As far as the FBI and other institutions hiding stuff, have you ever heard of the privacy act or the 4th amendment or the 3 ir 4 other amendments that imply privacy rights? You want law enforcement posting investigations updates on the federal register? This is not serious.
Kooks are gonna kook without education. And they fire other fence sitters up. This discussion goes back to the removed thread and a good idea was found in Rothschilds testimony i posted- he basically said fighting kook theories will have to happen in the communities.
I generally agree with you that people are innocent until
proven guilty and should be protected from having their name run through the
mud until justice can be completed and also investigations are likely to be
more successful if every step is not done in public. That said, I think there’s plenty of evidence
of government misdoing being covered up until evidence is released to the
public making it plain as day to everyone that these people need to be held
accountable. For example, regarding the
BLM movement. For a long time, black
people have made accusations that their was a different standard of justice,
and that when a black person was killed by a cop, it would be swept under the
rug and justice would not be served. I think
there’s a clear change that has happened recently as people have used cell
phones to record injustices committed against them by the cops and put it out
in the public record and it helps bring justice to those who deserve it. One of the things that has also happened is
that many jurisdictions have started mandating the use of body cams. There have been examples where the police
killed a person, and to prevent people from rioting, the police released the
body cam footage to the media, so that the public could see the full story for
themselves, and after seeing the context the public outrage was greatly
subsided.
Larry Nassar is back in the news again, after he’s been
stabbed again while in prison. Nassar’s story
is interesting in that he was a team doctor for the US’s Olympic program and
used that position to molest female children for almost 2 decades, while the FBI
basically ignored the accusations brought to them by the gymnasts for years
allowing 70 more people to become victims.
I would argue that the publicity brought to the case has gotten more
progress made then years of FBI investigation.
On a slightly different note, the government doesn’t religiously
follow this guideline of keeping things quiet to protect the accused/the
investigation. How many time have you
heard someone in the media say, “An anonymous source in an intelligence agency has
confirmed that …” They frequently leak secret
information if they believe it would be of benefit to them. One very prominent example is regarding the
investigation of Donald Trump while he was in office. The establishment Democrats, Comey, and the
left-leaning media heavily promoted a conspiracy theory to the public that
Donald Trump was colluding with Russia.
Then proceeded to slander him for 2 years during the investigation. After which, we find out that not only was
the conspiracy theory false, but that also it was a manufactured smear campaign
where the initial “evidence” was fabricated.
While I think you could argue that perhaps Trump should have been spared
the horrible things the Democrats did to run his name through the mud (he
certainly didn’t need the help), I also think you could argue that the manufactured
public outrage, got an actual investigation to take place to bring the truth to
the public, rather than letting it linger as a conspiracy theory.
It's been what, 4-5 years since Epstein went to jail the
second time? I’m sure that any day now,
we’ll start seeing the FBI complete their investigations and these high level
businessmen and politicians. I think if
it was a big nothing burger they would have released the evidence to the public
to eliminate our misunderstandings.
As a weird aside, in the last couple years we’ve had two
different situations where the government has agreed to release data to the
public many, many, years after what most people would deem appropriate. JFK was assassinated, for all practical terms,
a lifetime ago. The government investigated
it, and made 10’s of thousands of documents too secret. In the 90’s, the government made a law
stating that they would be release after something like 60 years after the
assassination date. Biden and a judge
decided not to comply with that law and many of those documents still remain
secret. Also, as part of the covid
vaccine trials, the government made agreements that the trial data showing the
safety and efficacy of the vaccines wouldn’t be released to the public for 75
years, and after much outrage they were forced to bring it down to something
like 5 years.
Regardless, the way you fight conspiracy theories is by
increasing transparency and bringing more information to the public. It’s an oxymoron to both try to be more
secretive and also be against the people that are trying to fill in the gaps
created by their secrecy.
Education, community pushback and government transparency? Sounds like we do have solutions. So good.
As far as Trump/Russia goes, he had people around him like Flynn, Manafort and Guiliani that were all kooks as well as a back channel to Russia. Thats just the tip of the Iceburg as Trump, the leader of the free world propogates inciteful and dangerous lies that feeds kooks.
No party or person is absolved here, i get that but we have to call out threats to democracy and peace, not fan the flames. I dont agree with Policy i dont like, and no one should, but we have to figure out how to promote policy in a sane manner.
Too many folk that can't wade through garrulous arguments based on specious logic, become anonymous experts on the internet fire-hose. And once they find each other they create their own communities(echo chambers) educating themselves (agreeing), pushing back (banning opposing opinions), just simple conformation bias.

Bull is probably talking about the one you moved and kicked me out of. Is it your requirement for posters here to be as anti-woke as you, jimmy? I guess I better be careful or you'll "shut me up again", right?
