Such a phenomenal movie.
I am a huge Tarantino fan, his movies are so different than a lot of the blockbuster stuff that gets put out.  The dialogue, character building, and his unique way of telling a story really sets him apart.  Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Basterds, and Django are his best IMO.

And insensitive me...  talking about movies...  I'm really glad to hear that Twyman is going to be OK.  It's a miracle he was shot 4 times and will fully recover, scary stuff.

Enjoyed Inglorious Basterds, haven't not watched seen the other Tarantino movies.  IB was well done!  WW2 movie fan.

Those are definitely some of his best, although I can watch any Tarantino movie and walk away extremely satisfied.

Man, he lost an older brother and uncle to gun violence as well. Thank God his injuries weren't more serious.

The shooting occurred in the District’s Lincoln Heights section, where Twyman was raised. The 6-foot-2, 290-pound lineman who played college ball at Pittsburgh had previously lost two relatives to gun violence, the Washington Post reported.

“My family members, every other week, one of them deceased or one of them just in a shootout or one of them locked up,” Twyman told the newspaper in 2016. “It’s just pushed me to try to get everybody, get all my family members, out of poverty. Nobody needs to be around this.”
Twyman’s uncle was killed during a drive-by shooting in 2014 roughly a half-mile from Monday’s shooting scene. In 2010, Twyman’s older brother was killed less than a mile from where he was shot, the newspaper reported.

Investigators have not determined a motive in the shooting, according to the Washington Post. Dozens of shell casings were recovered at the scene, WUSA reported.

Wow, just spent two weeks in DC.  I like the place, you need to be aware, but sure seems like you can avoid trouble if your not looking for it.  But then again I am not 24 years old with a pocket full of cash.
Broad daylight, in the neighborhood he grew up in. On the way to see the family he entered the draft early so he could help get them out. Yep, he was clearly looking for trouble.  Kid was raised in DC but I am sure he would appreciate the wisdom from some rando on the interwebs who has spent 2 whole weeks in his town weighing in on being safe.

Pulp Fiction is an absolute favorite. I remember seeing it in one of the cool theatres that served dinner and drinks. As we were all leaving the theater we were boasting about the incredible movie, the dialogue, the acting, including Harvey Keitel's crazy scenes. I have never forgotten my friend looking at me and asking "Harvey Keitel was in it?" Good grief.;.. we didn't realize she'd gotten drunk and slept through almost the whole movie.

So good, though.

No doubt, like to think as a white 65 year old guy who has walked a few city streets in the US, and elsewhere shit happens.  I was just saying, I didn't know what happened to him, it wasn't inevitable, he was in a different situation than I was.  And I have spent more than two weeks walking around there, so why you runnin your thing on the "interweb" bragging about a bigbone?  Whats your point?

Its interesting. I see these true crime shows and see someone murdered with a .22 caliber bullet. I tell my wife that is really a small caliber gun and I'm surprised the person died. Obviously, a head or heart shot and they'll die, but in other places of the body you can probably absorb several bullets and survive. Possibly what happened here as he'll be back for training camp. He also has a very dense muscular body which helps with absorbing the impact.
