The Vikings could get a very good and high end LT at 14. This year is the year to do so. Why would they pass on a LT just to get a G?

Yep, AVT definitely guard only with those arms. And the 5.1 isn't going to send him screaming up the board either. Still, be very happy with that pick at #14. But he could drop into late teens, 20s with those numbers.

Have you seen our OG play in the last decade?  Not all OTs can slide inside and develop the frame to play every down against DTs,  very few could do it at a high level one on one.   We very much need to find better players inside,  if they won't pay for it in FA then they need to find them in the draft.  As bad as our OG play as been I wouldn't be pissed to much of they took the top rated OG at 14,  would prefer sliding down,  but you have to have somebody that wants to move up as well.

Just depends on what we add between now and the draft. And how we feel about Cleveland at LT.

What's interesting is that of the top 13 offensive linemen in this draft every single one of them played tackle in college. About half of them project to guard, but there are no pure guards or centers at the top of this draft. I don't know that I've ever seen that before.

Official pro-day results for
@GamecockFB WR Shi Smith. Not nearly enough talk about Smith in this year’s deep slot group.
