Mills, Cardinal solid at wet pro day … A steady rain fell throughout most of the Stanford pro day earlier today, but that didn’t appear to slow the Cardinal a whole lot as they had a pretty good workout overall. Rising QB Davis Mills, who measured in at 6-3.5, 217, in particular, showed off a really nice arm despite the conditions. He was especially impressive throwing deep balls. Mills also showed some athleticism that pro scouts weren’t expecting as he ran in the 4.8 range for the 40.
Mills combined with WR Simi Fehoko on several of those nice deep balls. He’s also a rising prospect with size – he measured in at almost 6-4 and 222 pounds with big 10-inch mitts, although his arms are a little on the short side at just 31.5 inches. Fehoko also ran well with a 40-clocking in the low 4.4 range, along with good shuttle times for a guy his size of 4.23 seconds in the short shuttle and 6.86 in the 3-cone.
It was also a nice day for CB Paulson Adebo who measured in 6-1, 198, although he only registered 31.5-inch arms which is a little shorter than idea. However, Adebo ran well with a 4,45 clocking in the 40, while adding terrific times of 4.09 in the short shuttle and 6.70 in the 3-cone agility drill; for good measure Adebo also had a solid vertical leap of 36.5 inches.
NFL teams were also impressed with veteran ILB Curtis Robinson. who generally isn’t considered at the same level as the rest of his teammates, but certainly tested well. Robinson measured in at 6-3, 236, ran a 4.65 40 with a good split of 1.65 seconds, posted 22 reps in the BP, had a 37.5-inch vertical and good times of 4.22 in the short shuttle and 7.02 in the 3-cone drill.
Unfortunately, the athleticism at the Stanford workout didn’t necessarily extend to the big uglies including OT Walker Little whom pro scouts were getting their first look at in almost two years. Little had been considered to be a sure fire first rounder entering the 2019 season, but he ended up missing the year after tearing an ACL in the Cardinal’s season opener and then opted out of the 2020 campaign. Little ceratinly looks the part of an NFL OT at over 6-7 and 313 pounds. He also has 34-inch arms and 10-inch hands. But he only ran in the 5.3 range in the 40 which probably means he could be pigeon-holed at RT at the next fellow. Same story for fellow OT Foster Sarell, who has been thought of as something of a sleeper. He’s got the size at 6-6, 318, but was only able to run in the 5.45-5.50 range.
