Aren't most of these folk "legal " gun owners, until the bullet makes hole in someone.  There just may be an issue on who is considered "legal" or why are you "legal".  More guns in folks hands just ain't working to well.

So how do you suggest we fix it?
Shared database between jurisdictions for mandatory background checks.    End liability protections, for manufactures, sellers and owners.  FastTrack red flag designations so something common sense can be done without having to so much red tape.
I go along with the red tag designations as well as shared data bases for law enforcement... no reason the data base isnt already open.

as far as liablility protections... not sure on that one.   should budweiser get sued every time somebody has to much to drink and kills people?  the distributor?  or even the person that sold the budweiser?  if they are breaking the law then they already dont have protection,  but they should have to defend themselves every time somebody is injured by their products because some lawyer is looking for a quick pay day.

The red tag designation as long as there is a clear and expedient way for those tagged to prove their competency,  and this doesnt just become another tool by the anti gun crowd to take the guns away from those that are not a threat.
That's a false equivalency, alcohols purpose in society is not to be a weapon and be used means of defense or offense.
But, the vast majority of firearm use, among legit owners, is target shooting...and I suppose there could be clauses regarding types of ranges, etc etc etc.  That said, here's the ongoing facts:

1.  We've had what the media and political bobbleheads call "assault weapons" for generations before mass shootings were anything like common.

2.  Legal gun owners commit a tiny percentage of gun crimes...

3.  ...but, gun laws tend to punish/restrict them far more than criminals.  Optics and BS.

4.  I've still yet to hear about any handgun or rifle that selects, packs, rings up, transports, loads, chambers, aims, and fires itself...so the "GUNS TAKE LIVES" crowd remains woefully ignorant and utterly incorrect.

5.  The same spineless dnc that works to vilify the AR-15 is simultaneously defunding police departments and trying to outlaw popular firearm types...so, law-abiding citizens are having their defensive options limited and police responses worsened in the name of "safety".  Even someone with a full-Crayola diet has to see this as insane.
The single utility to society is only one thing, projecting dense objects at high velocities distances beyond personal control.  Legal owners don't have anything to worry about, just be responsible for who you pass it on to, or the consequences of your actions.  Liability for your products and your actions should definitely be on the table.
...except that you're wrong, the types of items and ammunition available are being limited and punitively taxed in many locations.

We are having laws made to punish us, under the guise of "safety" and somehow punishing the very people that already don't show interest in laws.

So, please quit saying "nothing to worry about", it's gone far past that.  You...are incorrect.  Whether that's due to ignorance or dishonesty, I'm uncertain.

Lol. From the  who can look away from a car wreck file. Took a glance at P1's board. THEY'RE COMING FOR YOUR GUNS!

Also, for the 713th time P1 is wondering aloud if he should shut the board down. Lolololo. The more thing change, the more they stay the same.
A year ago at this time....P1's board had activity equal to this'n.

Then came the NFL with their wokeness/2 national anthems/ kneeling.

85% (guesstimating) of that board QUIT.
QUIT...watching the NFL.  Long before the first kick of the season.
QUIT...posting on chat-boards.
QUIT...playing fantasy football.

I know...I was one of them.

It's not a "car-wreck".... it's a principled/determined decision to remove yourself from the "woke" NFL.

Chortle (P1's board's demise) if you must...but keep in mind you are chortling the decline of NFL football  across the board.
The Decline Of Football Is Real And It’s Accelerating (forbes.com)

I remember the day you and Sticky migrated from PT to here, in search of a "better home".
You were largely met with "open arms".  From many of the posters, you laugh at, now.  Check the tape.

Laughing at others searching for their "better home" as posters reeks of historical  ingratitude and gracelessness.

Lol. A 550+ page thread on a "stolen" election says it all about that board and it's membership. A bunch of window licking Faux News acolytes. You'd think after 8 years of Obama is coming for your guns, even the dim bulbs over there would have a lightbulb switch on.

I'll also point you to the mega television deal that is in place going forward as far as the decline of the NFL. Too easy.

P.S. Quit? Lol. Went elsewhere. They're over at Purple Pain.

'Reeks of historical ingratitude and gracelessness' , Oh the drama!! What's next? Throwing down your napkin, standing up and saying, 'I bid you good day, sir!'.

I guess that I'd be mean in pointing out that the article is over a year old, and that the already-mentioned monster media deal is going forward.

Oh, wait...it's just being honest and accurate.

My vocab is dramatic, eh?   I'll try to tone it down.
I'll leave this for the audience.....

what's more dramatic?
- savannahskol rhetorical flourishes? B)

or

- StickyBun changing monikers (Doogie Howser) to go stir shit up on another board, and come back
Here to complain about that other board members' discussion topics?
