OT: Ravens, Then The Rest of the NFL
#11
I was pretty skeptical at first. Jackson is the hands down MVP. He really has it all, and the team around him is also very good. He's only a three quarter QB because the game is over before the 4th quarter! Scary stuff these Ravens.
Most running QB's end up injured eventually, but if not, Jackson will turn the NFL upside down.

I loved watching Mahomes work his magic last year and Jackson this year.
Incredible!

Media loves shiny, new objects:
That they do.  Jackson is impressing and the team is winning, and while his numbers are looking to be better at the end of the season, one does have to see the similarities in what he's doing and how the media is drooling to RGIII's rookie season and Vick's second.  The rushing numbers are very similar right now while the number of attempts are nearly the same.  Jackson is going to end up with a lot more attempts though since they don't seem to want to limit him like the other two were.  His passing numbers will likely be better as well but they had 'decent' seasons too.  He also has a lot better overall team than the '12 Redskins and '02 Falcons.  I bet if they pulled up some old shows from those seasons we'd hear a lot of the same comments from the analysts about those two at that time.

If there's anyone worthy of rooting for, its Lamar Jackson. He's an awesome kid. But they be crowning his ass.....my concern is the hits he takes.

Yup. History shows Father Time has not been overly kind to running QB's.  But Lamar, for now, is a handful for defenses.

Anyone else recall Roman getting interviewed by us?

I was just sure he would be a Top 10 Pick, and said so repeatedly, but I was alone in my assessment.
That mismatch ability he has with his legs is something No One In The League is ready for personnel wise.
He's not only faster than Vick, he's faster than any QB to ever play the game.
I thought his arm talent was sufficient to succeed in college.  He didn't spray the ball or struggle with accuracy, although I read that he did.  He also had the same poise in college in the face of blitzing defenders that he's showing now.  His supreme confidence in his wheels helps a ton.  The sky is the limit, for him.

Just when the Vikings are showing promise here comes a team that would thwomp them in the Superbowl if we got that far.

Damn----the Vikings should have drafted him.  With our selective oline play he would have had ample opportunity to showcase his running for his life skills. B)

Jackson is playing at an incredible level.  Really looking forward to seeing what the Niners defense can do against him and the Ravens.  I think it's going to be a great game.

The 9ers beating or making it a great game against the Ravens would be a TRUE statement game for them, imo.  Taking out GB did little for me... the Ravens are a different animal.
