So how do you run a year late and that far over budget?.  Only in California.

And the Chargers could have had a stadium for about 1.8b in SD.

While is the general contractor,  the US Government?

Anybody see a bankruptcy coming for a certain private developer?

Going $4 billion over estimates is unreal.

The Rams need the Chargers in that stadium 10 weeks a year just to bank the money that will come from it. Either way, they're going to be paying that stadium off for a looooong time. Wow.
The Raiders stadium is estimated at $1.8 billion. Which is what the Rams was initially projected at. Mind-boggling.
It is California after all.  They spent over 3 billion on a choo choo train that got cancelled, so there's that....

Even Atlanta's stadium (the one that looks like an electric shaver from above with the roof closed) wound up something like 50% more expensive than USBank.  With way LESS investment from the owners than the Wilfs put into USB.

Compared to ATL, LA, and even SF with their repeated field condition problems, seems like we definitely got the best deal of the newest stadiums.  And it's right downtown too B)

How happy are we as fans that the Vikings stadium bullshit is in the rearview?

California has turned into a bigger shit show then its ever been. More people for the first time in forever are leaving the state in greater numbers than are entering it.

Allegiant will probably be paid off in Vegas in about a year after opening too. :p
No shit! LOL! Im sure there will be slot machines and gambling tables somewhere in the stadium to bring in some extra $$ to help pay it off! And to insult to injury for the LA Rams and their new stadium BS, here is the latest on the Allegiant - ON time and ON Budget (so far!). Say what you will about Las Vegas, one thing they do well is building HUGE buildings for entertainment.

Yes and no.  The Drew is a building on the north side of the strip that has been in construction mode 2007 it has gone bankrupt and has been sold at least once.  Now it is slated to open 2022.

and apparently to Oregon,   in one week this fall I met 3 different recent transplants in 3 different areas that moved from Oregon to SD,  they all said it was to get away from the Californians that were moving north.
